Chapter 22

Nikki and Alexi walked back in the house

Walking into the living room, Nikki went straight towards her boys, sitting in between them. Alexi stood next to them "I got a message this morning. The two should be here soon"

"How soon?" Jay asked wrapping his arm around Nikki's shoulder "Just a few minutes" Alexi informed him. Jay nodded and turned to his girl, rubbing her shoulders as Mouse held her hand

Derek looked away from Nikki and towards Alexi "Who's coming?" He asked. He didn't want anyone to be near his sister, right now. Not when someone is after her "A couple of friends from down in Russia. Their going to help"

Nikki sat back wondering who exactly is coming down to help them. Yes, she is close with everyone down there but not a lot actually knows about her past and what happened when she joined the army

"I'm going to check the camera," Jay told them, landing a kiss on Nikki and Mouse's head before leaving. Nikki didn't say anything as she leaned forward, opening the map and laying it flat on the table for everyone to see

"These her movements?" Alexi asked. Nikki nodded, grabbing the red marker Mouse held out to her "I started researching the moment we left the station. These are her movements going back 3 years"

"Nothing before that?"

Nikki shook her head. Everyone leaned forward looking over the map, it was a world map, dates in different colors going back three years. "Aliva, started right where we ended" Mouse commented looking at the oldest date. It was right where the ambushed happened "Yeah and look, it's like she was following three different trails until she stops one trail"

Mouse tilted his head looking at the date, the third trial ended "That's when Jay called me and got me the job here"

"So she was following your movements," Emily commented. The two nodded "Look here" Adam pointed to a spot where the three tails met before separating again "What's that date?" Hotch asked

Mouse and Nikki took a close look at the date "The team death day" Mouse sighed, shaking his head. Nikki's eyes roamed across the map "She's been planning this for years" The team nodded in agreement "I want to know how she found out about my past. Only a few people know"

"She could have overheard us talking that one night" Jay said walking back into the room. Nikki looked at him confused "Remember, that night in the tent, we were talking about our families-"

"And I told you guys I was foster care down here" Nikki finished for him "Aliva could have done her research, I mean she found the guy. She wanted the girls because she knew I would come and save them. She just didn't think they would escape"

Before anyone could say anything, a pattern of knocks. Three knocks quickly, before a pause and then two knocks slowly. The teams quickly stood up, everyone pulling out their hand guns when Alexi stopped them "Stop. It's the backup"

He motioned for them to put their guns down. The two teams holstered their weapons but Nikki, Jay and Mouse kept their guns pointed at the door. Alexi didn't even bat an eye, knowing they were on high alert and would be until Aliva is gone

He opened the door, showing two people. A man and a woman walked in, Alexi closing the door behind them "Nikolay. Irina" Nikki said recognizing the two, her Russian accent coming out when saying their names

The blond woman with ice blue eyes smiled at her "Nikki" Irina pulled the dark haired woman into a hug "Hey Nik" Nikolay smiled watching his wife hug their sister "Hey Nikolay" Nikki smiled stepping back. She turned to the teams "Everyone this is Irina and Nikolay Popov, my uh... foster siblings you can say"

The teams nodded at the two "Irina, Nikolay these are my boys, my team and the Intelligence Unit. Jay Halstead. Mouse, my boys" The two waved, Nikolay eyed them for a moment before nodding "My team, Aaron Hotchner. David Rossi. Spencer Reid. Derek Morgan. Emily Prentiss. JJ and Garcia" The BAU team nodded at the two, Garcia smiling "And these are the boys team Hank Voight. Kim Burgess. Adam Ruzek. Kevin Atwater. Antonio Dawnson and Alvin Olinsky"

Once the meet and greet was done, everyone sat down around the table. Nikki looked at her foster siblings "So, why did Alexi call you two down here?" Irina scoffed, flipping her hair over her shoulder "He didn't. He called Maribel, and asked if anyone could be sent down. Nikolay and I were the first to accept it"

Nikki looked at Alexi with a smile. Alexi shrugged, like it wasn't a big deal but to Nikki it was. She knows that she has family down there, she knows they'll be here for her, but knowing and believing are two very different things

Guess she never had to doubt that her family will be there for her again
