"Bye, mom! I'm going to Gina's to help set up for the party and sleepover!"

"Wait, sweetie!" Li Hua calls out from her office, making Andrea curse under her breath as she drops her hand from the door knob.

"Alright."

Her mother enters the foyer with a soft smile on her face. "Oh, you look lovely, Andrea. The white swan, Odette?"

"You know, Swan Lake?" Andrea says, genuinely surprised.

"Of course, I am very familiar with all of Tchaikovsky's work." Li Hua says, making her daughter even more confused. "I was just wondering if you wanted to go and tour any colleges this weekend? I know you already sent your early decision applications, but if I'm available to take you anywhere if you want."

"Oh, thanks, mom, but I think i'm okay. I toured Stanford over the summer," Lie. She toured CalArts with Elana, "And I can just tour virtually for the other places I applied to. I'll be busy with the musical."

"Oh, alright." Li Hua's smile falters. "Um, I can't wait to see you perform again."

"Thank...you?"

"Well, have fun at your friend's party and sleepover. Don't stay up too late."

"Got it, mom. Bye!" Andrea says, grabbing an extra jacket from the coat rack before rushing out of the house.

"I love you." She hears her mom says quietly behind her, making her eyes go wide. She hadn't heard her mom say those words to anyone in a long time.

"I-I love you, too."

"Quick announcement, everybody. Hello, welcome to my party. So, since this is our first weekend off, the words High School Musical and the numbers three and four are strictly prohibited. So, let's have fun and be normal teenagers tonight. Okay?"

Everyone cheers before going back to their conversations. "Okay, gladiator, where is that damn girlfriend of yours? I feel lost without my Odile."

"That's not how the story goes." Kaden chuckles, "She said she was on her way. Are you wearing actual ballet shoes?"

"What? It felt fitting." Andrea does a single pirouette, "It's not like I wore my pointes."

"You just wanted to be able to show off if someone asked if you knew a parts of the dance."

"How dare you accuse me of such a thing?!" Andrea feigns offense, folding her arms over her chest before marching away. "Hey, guys."

"Hey, Odette. Looking good." Ashlyn says, making Andrea curtsy.

"Thank you so much, hot Eleanor Roosevelt."

"You got it!"

"Ash, you told me what you were going to come as yesterday." Andrea reminds her friend, making her sigh.
