Chapter 4: the settling in

About a few months later,at CSS

Sofia POV

Ughh !! I hate Mr Hues !! Maddie said as she slammed her tray on the table and sat next to me. This is my best friend Maddie.She was my first friend (other than Hugo and James who I already knew) at Corinthian Sport School. She had long green dyed  hair emerald eyes and lightly tanned skin.

So basically-. Is all I heard before I zoned out thinking about how I have probably likes Hugo for ages now I just havdnt given into my seedlings yet
How have I not lost feelings for him yet ? How do I still like him ? Almost as if on que , hugo came walking down the hallway and into the cafeteria with James and I smiled. "And then he was all like maddie you can't sketch a pink unicorn it has to be realistic blah blah blah.

Wow sounds great I said not really paying attention. "Sofia are you even listening ?" She asked and I didn't reply my brain wanted me to say something but my mouth didn't want to move. "Earth to Sofia " she said waving her had infront of my face. She looked and me then looked and Hugo then at me again. Idk why a lot of people see m to do that now.

"Ohhhhhhhhhh I seeee 😉😏😌👌"she said. "Hey Hugo! She said. We're over here !" She shouted across the cafeteria. You're welcome she whispered in my ear. As Hugo and James came and sat down. Hey guys! I said to then as the sat down. Hi Sofia Hugo said and smiled.

" hey sof " James said digging into his food. U coming to derby practice tomorrow night sof ? Hugo asked me. I had completely forgotten about practice but luckily I was still free so I could go. Wouldn't miss it! I said with a smile. Me and Hugo were competing nationally in flying derby along with James and another boy that we didn't know so well so all 4 of us were going to practice tomorrow night and we would meet him then.

Soffffff U promised we could have a girls night then !! 😭😭Maddie moaned. Hehe I forgot about that too 🥲😅. We still can Maddie just a little later. I said. Alright alright. She reluctantly agreed

James POV

I just remembered what Des said about Sofias first love the other night and I started panicking. I need to ask her about it. Wait-no James she'll tell you when she feels ready I told myself.
