Chapter 5: the truth

I couldnt sleep I have tried tried and tried again. There was just too much on my mind. Then I had an idea. James's light was still on meaning he must see till be awake.....past his curfew. Or he could have just fallen asleep in the middle of doing something and left the light on. There was only one way to be sure. I texted him and sure enough a few seconds later I heard a notification ping from the room opposite mine in the hallway. I then heard a shuffling off feet and my phone read "James is typing"

James:🤨Sof this isn't healthy you need sleep.

Me :I can't can you please come. There's something important I have to tell you

James:Sof it's 12:30 ! If anyone heard me I'd be in big trouble!!

Me: pleaseeeeeeeeeee. Your alr awake and it isn't hard to see your bedroom light is still on and-

I heard a shuffle of feet and a door creak and close .
Obviously followed by a loud clash. James I whisper shouted. I thought we were tryna be stealthy I said. Easy for you to say sof! I cant see anything ! This way I said shining my phone light under the door crack.

James opened the door. And came in. Behind him he locked the door and turned on my fairy lights in my tent so that it wasn't pitch black. We both sat down in the tent and started talking about everything there is the ever talk about. James......I started. I really had to tell him.about hugo. James needs to.know. there's something you need to know I said scratching the back of my neck and awkwardly chuckling.

Sof-stop. I'm your brother and I love you. I also know you .Like really well. Or at least definitely well enough to see the chemistry between you and a certain dark haired derby rider. He smiled and patted my on the shoulder. Goodnight Sof get some rest he said before walking out. I smiled back and said goodnight.
