"Is everyone here?" Asked Jeanist as he examined all of the citizens that seemed to stretch out as far as the eye could see, at the beach and past the long road toward the town.
Haru who stayed atop a tree, helped Shinso up into the branches and gave him some space to sit next to her. Endeavor stood proudly with his hands on his hips and his signature stoic face watching every inch of the sky, whilst Hawks simply yawned.
"Looks like it," Tiredness reflected in Hawk's eyes with a slump of his shoulders, to him it was rather upsetting that all of the citizens and U.A. students had to evacuate. It made the whole area, including the road that stretched for miles, look absolutely crowded.
Even Kyoshi who hid in the ocean close to the edge of the beach, watched the people wander back and forth. Pure worry fell on many faces he saw, but his own fear of being seen by them caused him to stay beneath the salty water.
"Hey-- Kyoshi!" Through the people came Snipe with his hat held down no thanks to the small gust that tried to push it off. "Let's chat," He knew the Crock was in the water, he didn't bother to look since he pretty much knew why he was hidden and crouched close to the water's edge. Slowly from the top of the surface peeked his spiked hair and sharp slits like a Crocodile in a swamp. "Principle Nezu appointed me to be your tutor. I figured I'd introduce myself while we're all gathered here. It'd be kind of a waste of an opportunity. You can call me Snipe," Despite his elbows propped on his knees, still crouched, a hand outstretched to offer him a shake. His expression would be impossible to discern considering the mask he had, but the tone he used was as if he spoke to a student.
Cautiously, out of the water came Wani in all of his muscular and scaly glory. He had stopped at the edge of the sand and averted his gaze when he accepted his handshake. No reply, no comment, just a grumble from the beast was all he wanted to give since the trust was hard to earn or come by.
"I get it. Don't worry, I'm not about to toss you over the edge and leave ya, you deserve another chance with a clean slate," This time the hero stood up fully and watched Kyoshi make his way out of the ocean to a full stand. His height was incredible, towering over his own five foot and eleven inches.
Still no answer, nonetheless he gestured for him to follow and didn't have to look behind him while he walked through the crowd of citizens. Whispers and murmurs echoed which were all directed towards the hotheaded beast, the fearful whimpers made it unbearable to hear. 'Why is he with him', 'That's the murderer!', and 'He's the one who put heroes in the hospital!'. Many comments flew through both of their ears until Snipe looked at them all, which immediately shut them up.
"I'd appreciate it if all of you would keep the comments to yourselves. This poor guy's been through way more than you realize, he's the victim in this situation," Anger boiled in Snipe's mind when he watched them all shamefully avert their attention. With satisfaction, he nodded to himself and gave Wani a quick peek.
Astonishment lit up Kyoshi's eyes, for he'd never had anyone stand up for him like that before, especially no hero. Regardless of the silenced crowd, he continued to follow the shorter male and felt completely puzzled by his relaxed form. The hell? Why's he not afraid of me? Most people would be! Not even a small hint of hesitation or unease from his movements! His confusion slowly turned into anger, which mixed into frustration and knitted his brows.
