Fitting in

*knock knock knock*
"Come in" i shout, looking towards the door of my room
The door opens, revealing hope stood at the door
I look at her face, smiling slightly at the women stood in the doorway of the room

"H-hi" she says, looking at me, awkwardly smiling in my direction, scratching the back of her neck
I look towards her, smiling gently, attempting to ease her nerves
"Hey hopey, how can i help you?" I say in a gentle voice
"We just wanted to know if you wanted to join us for dinner" she says, still standing awkwardly
"Ye-"
"You don't have to, its ok, ill leave" hope says, turning around to close the door
"Hopey" i say, stopping the slightly smaller women in her tracks
She turns around looking in my direction
"I would love to join you for dinner, ill be down in a minute" i say
She smiles gently at me, before leaving my room

I slowly get up, attempting not to injure myself more in the process and put on my shirt which covered my nearly bare top half.

I make my way towards the door, grabbing my keys in the process and make my way towards the cafeteria.
Now you may be thinking 'oh why arent they helping her, she is recovering' blah blah blah.
Yeah well, i told them not to, im independent and im not relying on some footballers to help me.

I fianlly reach the cafeteria and open the doors to a completely silent room, all girls whipping their heads in my direction as they hear the loud doors being opened.

"SHES ALIVE!" Meagan shouts as most of the girls rush in my direction, pulling me into a large group hug.

"Alright alright, thats enough girls, please, continue eating and leave the poor girl alone" i hear a dominant voice shout over all the noise in the room

All the girls depart from my personal space, making their ways towards their seats to continue eating after the excitement of seeing me stood here.

"Thank you jill, it is appreciated" i say, taking a deep breath and looking down towards the older women.
"No worries y/n, we all know you need space, they just got excited. Its nice to see you again, i hope you are staying for the rest of camp?" She says, looking at me with hopeful eyes.
"Yes, of course, after all, my assignment is to protect the girls. I cant exactly bail now, can i?" I say, smirking towards jill
She just smiles at me nodding her head and walking off into the cafeteria, leaving me stood there alone.

"Hey, y/n, we got your food" i hear alex shout across the room, waving towards me.
I just smile at her gently before making me way through the cafeteria, greeting some of the girls along the way

I finally reach the table, seeing all my girls their with my seat being inbetween alex and tobin, with hope and Christen facing opposite me.

"Thank you" i say, sitting down between the two attractive ladies
I wince as i sit, being uncomfortable and in pain as i move my legs to be sat down in the confined space.

Tobin immediately holds onto me, helping me sit down, limiting the amount of pain that i am in
"Thanks toby" i say, facing towards the girl as i sit down.
We sit there for a minute, face to face, faces inches apart, staring into her beautiful ey-
*Mmhmmm* i hear, making me snap out of my trance, looking up towards the other girls who are sat at the rounded table.
"I, erm, sorry" i mumble, looking down towards my food and start eating

"So, y/n, how is the recovery going?" I hear christen say, making me look at her as she looks at me with hopeful eyes.
"Oh, yeah, erm, fine, im going to get checked out after food so, erm, yh" i say, mumbling on, feeling a sense of awkwardness at the table and in myself.
She just nods at me and looks down at her food to continue eating.

The table is just sat in silence as we finish eating.
"I erm, ive got to go, bye" i mumble, standing up quickly and walking towards the physio's room, preparing to get a check up

I quickly walk out of rhe room, passing the girls on the way but keeping my head down.
I walk away and towards the physio, leaving the rest of the room in silence.
Why don't i fit in?
