After meeting my brothers we all went to bed, I fell asleep in masons arms, excited for the next day since we were visiting my abuela in hospital.

I woke up in the morning with a smile on my face. My abuela finally gets to meet the love of my life. I think mase is a tad nervous to meet her but he'll be fine, it will be like when he met my parents yesterday. My parents drove me and mase to the hospital and sat in the waiting room whilst we were guided into my abuelas room by a nurse. Mase held my hand from nervousness but also to let me know he was there if I needed him.

"Abuela" I say, my smile grows wider as I get closer to her bed. She turns her head towards us and smiles. "Isabella dear" she calls me over. Her voice sounds croaky, she sounds unwell and it pains me inside to know she is ill. I give masons hand a gentle squeeze and he starts to caress the back of it with his thumb.

I greet my abuela before giving her a hug. "Abuela there is someone I want you to meet" I say gesturing mase forward. My grandma smiles. "Is this your-" I nod "oh isabella what a handsome man, introduce me" she says and I laugh whilst mase smiles. "Abuela this is mason, mason this is my abuela" I say and mason smiles at her. "It's nice to finally meet you" he says and she brings him in for a hug.

"It's lovely to meet you too mason, thank you for making my isabella so happy" she says. "No problem from what I hear you are isa's favourite person" mase replies. I let them both talk for abit.

"Abuela are you doing ok?" I ask her as she coughs and mase hands her a glass of water. "I'm doing alright dear, did they tell you?" She asks me and I look at her confused. "What do you mean?" I reply.

"Isabella dear, you know how much I love you, I hate to be the one to tell you but I haven't got long left" she says and I squeeze mases hand worried. "The doctors told me 2 days ago. My organs will start to fail soon. Sometime this week." She says and I feel a pain hit my heart. It's felt like my heart had been stabbed about a thousand times. Why did no one tell me?

A tear runs down my cheek as many more follow. I was expecting to be a little sad today but not crying. I immediately give her the biggest hug. "Abuela why didn't any of you tell me" I ask.

"No one wanted to worry you, please don't be upset isabella, I'll be ok, I won't feel any pain." She says and I nod into the hug. The rest of the hospital visit I just stay with abuela for along as possible before the nurse kicks me and mase out.

My parents and brothers leave the apartment and go out for the day to leave me and mase alone after hearing the news. As soon as they leave, I turn to mase and I bury my head into his chest. He wraps his arms around me and starts to stroke my back.

"Mase she's gonna die" I sob into his chest my hands beginning to shake. "Breathe iss breathe, she doesn't want you to worry about her, she told you it won't hurt so she will be completely comfortable." He says and I nods trying to calm down.

"Mase why does everyone have to leave, please never leave" I cry into him and he moves his hands into my hair. "I'll never leave you iss, I want to be with you forever ok I love you so much never forget that your abuela loves you so much too" he replies taking hold of my hands so they stop shaking.

The rest of the day we just snuggle on the sofa cuddling and watching a movie and ordering food.
