RAEUL LET out a heavy sigh as she let the maids do their work on her, did she regret this decision? Yes, she did. To the point of running away? Yes, but she would've preferred to kill him with her own hands rather than taking a coward's way.

"We're done, general", the maids informed her, "Thank you, you can go now", she thanked them as she slightly bowed down and the maids did the same to her as they went outside closing the door.

She took a look at herself in the mirror and all she felt was dazed, the azure blue gown tightly hugged her waist like a lover's hold while the lower part of the gown was double layered with the hems being sewn in an elegant manner.

Her hair was let out free till her back and slight volume was given to her upper hair as her lips were tinted with a light shade of pink along with some blush on her cheeks.

Past her would've never believed that she would wear the dress which royals wore, however, the corset didn't allow her to move accordingly, it restricted her movements.

She really wished to get out of this gown and slip back into her armour.

Knock,

Knock.

"Come in", she heard the footsteps of someone coming in as the door was closed.

"You look beautiful, Raeul".

"You too, your highness", she turned around as she bowed down.

"I told you not to call me that when we're alone", Aerin reminded her.

"It's better to be cautious", Raeul responded.

"Sure", Aerin rolled her eyes playfully, "How are you feeling?", she asked, a sudden change in her tone.

"I'm not sure what to say, your highness", Raeul formed a thin- lipped smile.

"I'm sorry....", Aerin hugged the general, "Why are you sorry?", Raeul patted her back.

"I tried to talk it out with father but he's blinded by the kingdom", Aerin let go of the hug.

"It's fine, your highness. You don't need to feel sorry, it was my own decision", Raeul tried to reassure her.

"I'm sorry that I can't do anything, only if I had the power to do so", Aerin was all too familiar with the royal society, hidden under the lavish crowns and balls was were the truth lied; deception, sexism, injustice.
