The sun illuminated the countless number of leaves hanging from the branches of the trees that soared above me. I could hear the distant rush of water. The songs of birds filled the empty ness of the space. It was so peaceful. So, perfect. Then, a new scent filled my nose.

I felt his presence. Markello, my target, was near. My mission was to catch him and hand him over for 500,000 jewel. He's been terrorizing travelers here in this forest. First, robbing them. Then, attacking them. Leaving them to die. I climbed up a tree to get a better view. Then, I saw him? His green eyes like daggers. He had to be at least 7 feet tall. His dark skin and green hair made him look somewhat tree-like. He was on the cliff right above the roaring waterfall on the edge of the woods. I jumped from tree to tree, branch to branch, so I could catch him off guard. Since he is not a wizard like me, Im gonna try and take this guy out with hand to hand combat.

"AHHHH" I scream as I jump on to his back from the trees, "HUH?!" He yelled. I drop down from the gargantuan man only to kick him In the back of the legs, causing him to fall on his face. "We finally meet Markello " I say as I pick him up by the necklace around his neck." hope that it's the only we have to". I take a better look at the chain around his large neck. The green, gold, and violet beads look so familiar, but I can't remember why.

"Why do you say that shrimp?" He snickers as he stands back up."Because of this" I say as I roundhouse kick him in the gut. "Huhg!" he sucks in a breath as he flies a few feet back, "you are stronger than you look, shrimp. But, I have a few other tricks up my sleeve". "No you don't, you aren't wearing any", I say in a smart-ass tone. " it's a figure of speech moron" he says in a tone that makes it obvious that he doesn't have any idea what the hell sarcasm is. " I know you are but what am I ?" I say, "less talking more fighting."

I start back at attacking this brute, and end up landing a powerful punch right in his jaw. But as I go in for another one, he grabs my wrist and flings my body over his shoulder. Before the could let go, I grab onto his back and wrap my leg around his hip and kick my heal into his diaphragm, which makes him free my arm. I would go in for a head lock, but he's to big. I jump to the ground. He goes on to punch me in the shoulder. I hear it pop out of place, the pain quickly traveling up my neck and down my arm, making my fingers tingle. "Argha" I mumbled. My hand was going numb, but I have to keep going. I shake it out, but nothing helps. "Just get over it Amelia, you'll be fine" I say to myself. To prove to myself that I was fine, I thrust my arm into his ribcage with a sickening crack. "Aww damnit! That hurt!" He yelled. This exchange of blows goes on for a good thirty minutes to an hour.

By the end, I had lost track of time. My body was extremely sore. I was frightened by the numbness creeping down from my left shoulder, threatening to make the tingling in my fingers to go away and be replaced with no feeling at all. Beads of sweat rolled down my body. I started to breathe heavily. I get to a point of considering to use my magic, but at this point, I don't have enough energy to do so. Finally, he falls to the ground with a thud. I get on top of him, my legs keeping his own legs down, while my arms were keeping his arms pinned above his giant, hair covered skull.
