T H E    N E X T    D A Y

           I woke up, excitement flowing through my body like electricity. I quickly got up and stretched, making a star like shape with my body. I heard Laxus walking around, so I knew it wasn't that early. I took a shower the night before so I didn't have to take one this morning. Instead, I jumped up ogg of the soft blue sheets and ran out of my room, yelling "ITS MY FUCKING BIRTHDAY YAAAAAYYYY!!!!!". I spun and jumped and skipped around like a small child, not caring what the male Lightning dragon slayer thought of it. He chuckled and sipped his coffee as I danced around the suite. "Someone's exited" he said with a smirk as he looked up from the magazine he was intently reading. I just nodded and continued running around,
laughing.

              Once I calmed down, I plopped down on the  auburn couch with a thud, my feet swinging off the edge. I could see him snickering at me as he walked over. "So what is the plan for today?" I asked with a childlike voice. he smiled and sat down next to me, ruffling my hair in the process. "Well,we were thinking of having a picnic on the beach for lunch, and then a surprise later tonight." he said, a sly smirk on his face as he talked about the surprise. i smiled and jumped up, bringing my legs to my chest. "Sounds good to me! What time is it?" i asked, thinking about how much time i had to get ready for the day's events. "Well, its a little after 11, and Erza said to get to the beach around 12:30." he said as he looked back at the clock on the bright blue wall behind us. i jumped up, almost knocking him off the couch.

              "oh dang! I got to go get ready!" i yelled as i ran to my room, my hands flailing like a baby bird trying to fly. i heard him laugh at me, but i didn't care, its my birthday! So, I opened the little wooden chest next to the bed where i put my clothes last night and dug out the same black swimsuit i wore for Mest's party. Once i found that, i picked up a short aqua dress with little red swirls at the bottom to use as a coverup. Then i changed extremely fast from excitement, first putting the dress on backwards. Oops. After i got that situated, i went to the large, floor-length mirror to do my hair. i just put it in the same style i did the day before; a loose side ponytail over my right shoulder, tied with a black ribbon. after a few small adjustments, i was satisfied with my appearance. Then i got a small, black backpack together (i detest purses and shoulder bags with a passion),  putting my headphones, a green towel, my gold aviator sunglasses with turquoise lenses, and sunscreen inside it.

            Finally, i walked out of my room, backpack over my left shoulder. "ready to go?" i asked Laxus who was sitting on the couch, his brown leather bag next to him. "yeah. we should get going" he said as he stood. While I was looking the other way, he came over and picked me up, placing me on his broad shoulders. "Laxus! i can walk!" i exclaimed as i tried to get off him; keyword: tried. he just smirked as i struggled. "nah, its your 18th birthday. let me carry you. your not heavy, its no problem." he said with a chuckle as he patted my head. i sighed and gave up. "ugh fine, but only for today." i grumble as i lean on his head. he smiled in triumph. "To the beach!" he shouted as he ran out into the hallway of the hotel. i laughed in delight as i i bounced up and down on his shoulders.  

  
        

A T   T H E   B E A C H

             About 15 minutes later, we arrived at the beach. everyone else was already there, and they ran to us when we were in sight. "Hey guys!" i say with a wave. i was still on Laxus's shoulders, so had to look down at everyone. They all waved and smiled back. Out of the corner of my eye, i saw Natsu and Gray glaring at Laxus like he killed their puppy.i could tell that Mavis noticed it too. She was eyeing the four of us questioningly. i sighed. "Hey Laxus, can you put me down?" i ask, not wanting a fight to break out between the 3 mages. he nodded, a devilish grin on his lips. i knew what that meant. "Laxus, no." i warned him. Then he started to run towards the  rolling ocean, ripping my backpack off of me and throwing next to the yellow and turquoise  picnic blankets so it wouldn't get wet.
