    Unlike Natsu or Gray, Laxus did not seem at all phased by the prior night's events. He didn't bring it up, but I could tell by the cocky smirk on his face that morning, that he was not going to just let it go. I blushed madly whenever he caught by eye, the shocks and sparks spreading around my body just like they did when he kissed me, and the memory filled my mind.

    "Good morning." He said with a sly smile as I made my way out of my room. I rolled my eyes and looked away, feeling my cheeks heat up. He chuckled softly and went back to his reading. I went to the fridge and poured myself some sweet tea. "I swear, you're addicted  to that drink." He said, looking up from the blue covered book in front of him. "Sweet tea is delicious, and whatever argument you have against it is invalid." I say in a monotone voice before taking a sip of the tangy drink. He laughed again.

   

    "You should be getting ready for your sword fight against Erza at 1. It's 12 now." He said, making my eyes almost pop out of their sockets. "WHAT? ITS ALREADY 12!?!?" I say, frantically putting my drink down. "You really need to get in control of your oversleeping Amelia." He said. I groaned and ran to my room to get ready.

    since we were going to the beach, I put my black swimsuit on. I only slipped on some red shorts over the bottoms and left my tankini alone. Then, I strapped on my belt given to me by Pantherlily, and sliding it perfectly in place. After that, I put the ornate box that held the fine sword on my bed and opened it with steady hands. The iron blade still took my breath away, the way the light hit it, making it almost glow in some strange other-worldly way.

    I picked it up and placed it in its matching saya. Then, I tied it to the belt with a leather rope. I put my hair in a long braid down my back and adjusted my anklets to my liking. I then slid my weapon to the back of the belt, loosing the side heavy feeling that had made me stumble while fixing my anklets. I sighed in content at my appearance.

                  "Well Sergio, let's see if those sparring lessons that you gave me were worth it" I say, remembering those dark nights in the courtyard of my old home. We stole swords from my father and he tried to teach me how to use a sword. Key word: tried. But, once I escaped, I would spend my time practicing the moves he thought me with a sword one of them men on the ship that saved me when I escaped Lyon to protect myself.

                     I wish I could remember that man's name, he was so kind to me those few days I was with them. He claimed to be on his way to fight a dragon.  I told him about my magic, and he said he had a friend who was a dragon slayer too as was around my age. Natsu reminds me of the boy he described, but I doubt it was him.

               I remember the warm smile on the man's face as I enthusiastically describe the features of my foster father. The way his metallic gold scales shimmered in the light, such a contrast to his intense turquoise eyes. They pierced your soul with an icy stare that nothing could melt. His intense stare still haunts my memories of our times together. But the funny thing is that I don't remember him ever looking at me with any sort of ill meaning. They might have been cold, but I could always tell he only looked at me with pure and utter love and admiration, and I did the same.

              I stared at my reflection, for the first time, noticing all the changes in my appearance since I was a child. I have been having more presumed flashbacks over the past few days. In one, I was looking at myself in the mirror, trying on a new dress. My hair was not a fiery mixture of reds, golds, and Browns. Instead, it was a pure, almost white, blonde color. And my eyes were also very different. They were wide and innocent, just like they should have been. They were a shade in between turquoise and green, almost emerald.
