THE BOOMING cheers from the stadium could be heard all the way back here in the waiting rooms. The idea of competing in front of pros suddenly became real, and no longer seemed like a good idea. Maybe the commission was right for taking me out, but Keigo went through all that trouble convincing them to let me participate. I think back to last week, during the meeting with Madam President, Keigo, and Principal Nezu.

"Hawks is extremely persistent on letting Miyako partake in the UA sports festival, despite all the risks we informed him about. Do you understand what your putting on the line here, Hawks? Your career, your name, everything we've worked so hard for!" Madam President fumes, raising her voice higher and higher.

"Now, let's calm down here—" says Principal Nezu.

"Calm down? You want me to calm down! I already let this man talk me into letting Miyako into school, I am not letting him talk me into anything else!" She shouts back

I leaned against the wall outside Principal Nezu's office, feeling extremely guilty for causing them so much trouble. All this just so I could get to compete in a silly festival.

"When I told you to let Miyako into UA, I specifically said she'd be allowed to participate in anything the school held! You agreed to that fact!" Keigo shouts back, raising his voice higher then hers. "I'm not going to let you rob her of anything else! She's spent the last seven years cooped up in that fucking faculty! Completing every mission you send her on! She deserves to have a little fun in her life."

"Settle down, settle down. She's outside waiting you know. Our walls are not that thick." Principal Nezu  intercepts. "Madam President, I too am aware of the risks and consequences that will follow if Miyako participates, however, from what I've heard, she has never failed a single mission she's been assigned. Doesn't that say something about her potential as a hero? As an asset to the commission? If you rob her of this opportunity, she will resent you. More then she already does. Think about this wisely. Kids this age are extremely fragile."

I could hear Madam Principals long sigh all the way out here, meaning Principals Nezus speech might have actually worked. Still, I shouldn't get my hopes up just yet.

"Fine...Fine! You win. I'll let her join the stupid festival. On one condition. Her last name can not be revealed by any means necessary, have i made myself clear?" She says sternly.

"Very clear. I'll be sure to tell the MC's that." Principal Nezu abides. "If that's all, shall we call her in to tell her the good news."
