I WOKE UP FEELING refreshed from the extra half hour of sleep. I could get used to this.
"Mina! If you don't shut your stupid ass alarm clock up right now, I will personally go over there and blow it up myself!" Bakugou screams across the hall.
"Oh yeah! I'm surprised you can hear it considering you're not deaf from your quirk yet!" Mina claps back.
"Whatdhu say, you alien freak?!"
"I said, I'm surprised you can hear—"
The rest of their conversation consisted of the same few insults thrown back and fourth. I changed into my uniform before heading downstairs for breakfast. The sweet smell of freshly prepped pancakes, and piping hot omelettes made me float into heaven. No more convenience store onigiris for breakfast.
I sat between Mina and Jiro, with Kirishima and Kaminari in front of us. I was surprised at how lively the whole class was. Not that this would last. I guarantee everyone will be back to being exhausted zombies by the end of this week.
"You know, you never asked, but I just want to let you know that me and the others one thousand percent would've tried saving you as well if we knew where you were." Kirishima says.
"Why the sudden reassurance?" I ask, confused to why he cared so much.
"It's just, I didn't want you to feel like we neglected your kidnapping." He says.
"Trust me, there were definitely individuals in this class that cared plenty. I-I mean, everyone cared, but some were more frustrated than others." Grins Kaminari.
"Bro shut up before you get beat up." Nudges Kirishima. I could vaguely hear snickers coming from Mina and Jiros end.
"What I'm trying to say is, we tried looking for you, but the heroes were extremely careful regarding your rescue mission." Kirishima adds.
"Oh yeah, I heard about that. Apparently only two heroes were given information about your location. They even informed investigators and reporters beforehand that any attempts of pursuing your case would be severely punished." Explains Jiro.
What? I knew the commission was careful, but not to such an extreme extent. Wow, they must really care about my perfect debut to go through such great lengths.
"Class 1A were given a warning as well." Says Kirishima. "We didn't bother digging further into it, but I've always been curious."
"I have no clue to why my rescue was kept so confidential. I didn't even know until you told me. But don't worry Kirishima, I didn't think you guys forgot. I hoped not anyways." I laugh.
"Everyone! Class begins in fifteen minutes! So finish your breakfast quickly and head to the main building!" Orders Iida. He's like a human reminders app.
