AERO's POV

"I basically had to drag him here..." Patrick whispered loudly to me.

Thomas gave him an unimpressed glare and said, "Dramatic much?"

"Hi," I said to him as he greeted me with a kiss on the cheek.

The music playing from the speakers was playing a song I didn't know over the sound of a crowd of people talking. I adjusted the strap of my tank top nervously as my eyes peered around the room of the bar for any familiar faces.

I immediately saw Ben and Logan at a corner table against the wall. Ben looked good, almost like he had started working out. Logan was staring off to her left where I saw Sarah-Jessica standing and talking to some people. I let out a deep breath fully aware that it was going to be one of those nights where everyone I knew was in the same room.

I looked up at the small stage area and saw the curtain moving. I thought about the fact that Blake was definitely back there and wondered what was going through Thomas' mind.

"I've got the drinks!" Aurelie smiled while barely being able to hold all of the cups in her hands. Patrick finally helped her by taking two of the cups so she wouldn't drop them.  She placed a glass in front of me and smiled.

"Thomas ordered this for you," She smiled.

I didn't even need to take a sip to figure out what it was. Thomas had a cup full of liquid similar to mine in front of me.

"Dirty Shirley?" I asked taking a sip. "Thank you."

He smiled and nodded his head.

"Yours too?" I asked pointing at his cup.

"Yes except mine is virgin," he answered.

His hair was combed to the side and he wore a button-up with its sleeves folded up. I leaned over towards him and undid the first two buttons of his shirt. He glanced down at me with a smirk as I did it and asked, "Didn't like it the way I had it?"

I pursed my lips and shook my head. He let out a small laugh and placed his hand on mine. I could obviously tell he was feeling anxious based on his tight, fixed posture.

I squeezed his hand and asked, "Are you okay? You seem a little tense."

I knew why he was he was acting weird but I asked him anyway.

"I'm fine," was all he responded with a somewhat fake smile.

My father's words rang through my head making them impossible to ignore.

Thomas' ex, Mr. Blake Madison.

Oh? Did he not tell you he had an ex-boyfriend? Sorry sweetie, I didn't mean to stir the pot!

"Incoming on your left, Aero!" Aurelie mumbled looking behind me.

"What is up my people!" Holden greeted us with Parker by his side.

Holden wore a short-sleeved open shirt with a white tank top underneath it. Parker, quietly standing next to him, wore a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie.

"Hey guys," I greeted them as they stopped at our table.

"I'm excited, I've heard these guys are good," Holden smiled while looking around.

I looked at Parker who immediately looked away from me when our eyes connected.

"Totally," Patrick commented.

"I swear everyone in our class is here," Aurelie joked taking a sip of her drink.

"And then some," Thomas added.
