AERO's POV
Rick extended his hand out toward Thomas but Thomas ignored him.
"You're fucking kidding me," Thomas muttered looking past Rick and at Blake.
"Jesus Tommy calm down," Blake rolled his eyes.
His cheeks were still flushed as he awkwardly tried to figure out who to look at.
"Something tells me this isn't a good time," Rick sighed pursing his lips towards Blake. "We'll talk later."
He brushed past Thomas as he walked towards the door to leave us. After the door shut behind him Thomas immediately started yelling.
"Really, Blake?" He spoke with his hands balled into fists. 'You've become desperate, is that it?"
I had to stop myself from calling Thomas' name. My mouth had opened up and everything, ready to warn him, but I bit my tongue knowing this wasn't my argument.
"I could say the same thing for you," he smirked nodding in my direction.
Now I'm glad I didn't try to stop him.
Thomas took a quick step closer to Blake but ultimately stopped himself from getting any closer. Blake was just trying to get a rise out of him and now he was aware of it.
"I'm a big boy, I can take care of myself," Blake told him.
"You're right, you are a big boy, I'm surprised Rick is still interested in you."
Blake glared at him, annoyed. He let out a small sigh and made his way towards the door while shaking his head.
I ran to block the door before he could make his escape.
He threw his head back in laughter and commented, "You too?"
"You can't treat me like dirt just because I'm with Thomas!" I yelled at him defensively. "Besides, whatever issue you have with me, leave my brother out of it!"
He looked down at me with a slightly confused expression.
Then he slid his hands down the sleeves of his arms and said, "Piss off. The both of you."
PARKER's POV
I pushed quickly through the crowd as I felt my heart start to race. It was like I wasn't in control of my legs like they wouldn't be convinced to stop moving even if I wanted them to. They knew I needed to be near him.
I watched Aero walk away leaving Cole and Thomas alone together. I didn't know where she was going nor did I care. Cole gulped nervously as I stopped in front of them.
"Hi," I greeted sharply looking solely at Cole.
"Hi," He yelled back with less hesitancy than I assumed he would have.
I couldn't help but study his face. His perfect teeth, bright blue eyes, and clear skin looked just as good as the last time I saw him.
"How are you?" He asked.
He looked like he was also studying my face reminding me of the markings left behind by Holden.
I didn't answer his question and instead continued to stare at him. My gaze wasn't even broken away when Thomas cleared his throat awkwardly.
"I'm gonna go find Aero," he told us before disappearing.
"You're wearing red," I said looking Cole up and down.
"So are you," he pointed out.
I looked down at my shirt instinctively and nodded slowly.
"Where's the lucky lad?" He said shooting his eyes around the room.
