Not Him

In the dark place, there is a small light lit up from below, after a long day of walking and climbing, they finally take cover to rest, in the quiet atmosphere there is only the sound of wood crackling in the fire, they can even hear their own breath. Pang Zi can't seem to understand what is happening right now, many things are making him anxious, he just needs the missing puzzle and everything will be connected, but what is this important variable that they are missing.
"Xiao Ge, do you have someone in mind?" Pang Zi broke the silence first, since usually Xiao Ge has a sharp intuition, he can clearly differentiate the surroundings and catch things up quickly
"There is one" Xiao Ge slowly said, "But I'm not sure"
"Who?" Pang Zi asked, he unknowingly holds his breath, preparing to hear what he is about to say

"Wang Yu Qin" Xiao Ge

"He?! Why? Isn't that boy who keeps whining more suspicious?" Pang Zi said but Xiao Ge shakes his head, "He keeps on being cautious of Wu Xie's movement", Pang Zi's frown, thinking back about that young kid, from the beginning, he is indeed a very quiet kid, but seeing that he keeps on being humble and even worried about Wu Xie before, he never really get suspicious with him before
"He.. is too caring" Xiao Ge quietly said

Pang Zi: "!!?", Pang Zi can't help but eyed him for a while, 'Has he gone mad?!'

"Hey, Xiao Ge, you don't have to be jealous of him, Wu Xie will still care for you first no matter what that kid do, you just have to be more open to him, he did a lot for you you know" Pang Zi is misunderstanding his attention, Xiao Ge just means that Yu Qin wanted to get close to Wu Xie because he has a hidden attention, but since Xiao Ge is not that much of a talker, he tends to shorten his words or just let it be, but that is a bad habit of his, not saying anything can cause a big misunderstanding sometimes too
"I know" but Xiao Ge didn't deny it, Wu Xie have indeed done a lot for him, and he too doesn't want to deny his sincerity for him, he has got to treasure it while it last.

Pang Xi tap his shoulder "It's alright Xiao Ge, everything will be alright. I will make sure to pry Wu Xie's mouth open when we get out" Pang Zi smiled softly at him and gestured to him that they should take a rest too, the both of them lay down, laying down beside Wu Xie, looking at him, hoping that this nightmare will quickly pass and the sun will shine bright again

The next day, they woke up quite early, the fire they made had long gone and the cold wind slowly creep out on their skin, they scan the surroundings and let out a sigh of relief when they sense that it is still safe, Pang Zi lit the fire up again to cook some breakfast, Wu Xie who have heard the chaos slowly open up his eyes, still feeling a little weak, but a lot better compared to last night, seeing his movement, Xiao Ge quietly moved to his side, Pang Zi also follows along
"Wu Xie, you awake? Are you feeling better?" Pang Zi asked, his eyes filled with hope that last night was just a nightmare and today he will be normal again, but that thought quickly crumple into pieces, Wu Xie is just looking at them without saying anything as if he is observing them

"Wu Xie??" Pang Zi slowly asked
"Do I know you?" Wu Xie frown
This is their last string of rationality, Pang Zi can't help but want to cry right now, what kind of sin have they made to be punished so severely? Wu Xie looked at them confused, Xiao Ge watch quietly from the side, he doesn't know why, but his heart is beating hard, he have a bad feeling about the person in front of him, he had never really felt like this about Wu Xie before, but now when this feeling grew inside him, he can't help but feel a little flustered

The situation is much more worse than they thought, he can't even remember who he is, in this dire situation they have to quickly brief things out for Wu Xie, after he is more stable and ready to go, they slowly climb up toward that blue light again.
"Hey.. are you sure that there will be a way out after we climb up there?" Wu Xie asked he is breathing quite heavily after those harsh climb
"We don't, but that is the only hope we have right now," Pang Zi said
Wu Xie nods and walks quietly
"Are you alright? Do you need rest? Does your chest still hurt?" Pang Zi asked
"Not that much" Wu Xie said
