EXTRA 9 : A Guest In The Night (Part 4)

"Why do we always have to do this ridiculous thing" Pang Zi suddenly mumbled.

Wu Xie opened his eyes and peeked to his side, "Because your aura is full of dark energy"

"Nonsense!! It is you that have dark energy surrounded you!" Pang Zi refuted back, Wu Xie didn't say anything and seemed to be in deep thought.

"Pang Zi, I think you should tie me up, if what Yu Qin said is true, then there will be a force there that will try to make me harm you guys" Wu Xie concluded, but Pang Zi just gave a mocking smile

"Don't worry, even if you do, the both of us can deal with you" Wu Xie just huffed, it is true that he can't definitely win them in the fight, but somehow he also feels offended by his words.

They arrived at the town and they immediately felt the change of the air here, Wu Xie didn't know what it was but he had a really bad feeling about it.

Xiao Hua has arranged for a vehicle and a couple of his men that have been waiting for them. Once they arrive at the mansion, Wu Xie can't help but feel nostalgic, but it is much more lively compared to before because there are a lot of people here. They had searched the entire tunnel and found a lot of traces of blood but no body.

Xiao Hua says there is a probability that the body is being taken somewhere else, but when he wants to search for it, it seems that the locals don't seem to agree. Since Wu Xie and the others had come out safely, Xiao Hua also didn't want the problem to get big and offend the locals, so he wrapped it up and left.

Based on what Xiao Hua said there seems to be a hidden place deep inside the mountain and since the local are pretty sensitive about it, Xiao Hua deducted that there seems to be something deeper and told them not to trust anyone there.

They went inside a tent that had been prepared for them, it was big and pretty comfortable, they put down their belongings and sat down to eat dinner in their tent. Pang Zi is in a good mood today, so he cooks a simple yet delicious hot soup.

Wu Xie, "Pang Zi, I have been feeling uneasy, the meat that we ate before, could it be..", hearing this, Pang Zi is shocked and realizes something, his face seems like it has turned pale and lost all its color.

"No way right? We have eaten a lot of meat before and the taste didn't differ much, we surely could tell the difference if we eat human meat. Right?" His words suddenly become unsure, Wu Xie also frowns and looks at Xiao Ge, he shakes his head and they let out the breath they have been holding, since Xiao Ge says no, then it must not be human meat.

Pang Zi, "By the way, when will that kid come?"

Wu Xie, "Why do you keep on calling him a kid, he is much more older than us even if we combined all our ages together"

"He is a kid for that grumpy attitude of his" Pang Zi said proudly and he almost dropped his bowl onto the floor when he heard a familiar voice coming inside their tent.

Yu Qin, "Who is grumpy?", Pang Zi froze and coughed two times

"You are here? Eh..! Why do you look different compared to before?", Yu Qin's appearance is indeed more normal compared to before, there is not that weird vine hanging all around him anymore.

He took a chair and sat down, grabbing a new chopstick and started chewing on some meat,

"I am trying to save my energy that time"
