A/N - I realized when writing notes for the different arc that Raelin is very skeptical of love, more than I intended it to be. So I think that her journey has an impact on how she defines love because it has something to do with her 'dreams' and 'riddles'.

But as you now know, she has been skeptical of love ever since her mother started to age, especially when she died. And even though she herself has experienced love both romantic, familial, and in friendship, she subconsciously tries to not get too close to others as she was with her mother. 

Third POV.

Raelin finished whatever business she had with Baizhu and arrived at Jade Mystery to her rendezvous with Aether, Paimon, and Zhongli.

''Raelin! Are you finished with your business?'' Paimon greeted.

''I am finished with my business regarding Bubu Pharmacy. I have more things to do, but it's more like a hobby of mine while I'm in the city.''

''Uuuh, Paimon feels like she always learns something new about you.''

''Ha-ha. Anyways, I thought that since the two of you are in Liyue for the first time, it would benefit you to know the ways around it. I mean, Liyue isn't a nation like any other.''

''What makes Liyue special?" Aether wondered.

''There's many things that make Liyue special in its own right. But what distinguishes it is nothing else than the economy itself.''

''Paimon wants to hear everything! Make sure to listen carefully, Aether; we might hear the secret to making tons of Mora!''

''Ha-ha, you never change, Paimon. Anyway, in order to successfully earn and balance Mora, you have to know how to negotiate.''

''Negotiate...?'' Paimon didn't quite understand why common things were an essential skill in Liyue.

''In Liyue, the economy is reliant on the Harbor. In the port, there are many ships that sail to other nations for various goods. Even local Liyue specialties like chilibrew and silk are known in other countries.'' Zhongli explained.

''He's right. As it would be good for you to know that Inazuma is currently on lockdown and the silk from Liyue is used for making kimonos. But due to the lockdown, trade has plummeted significantly.'' Raelin explained further.

''Wow, Paimon didn't think that it was such a big deal until now.'' Paimon spoke. ''Aether! We need to step up our game! ''

''But as you soon will discover, there's many ways to haggle the price.''

''Uuh, please show us!''

''Actually, I want you two to take the lead, and I'll interfere if necessary. And I know for a fact that Zhongli has a lot of knowledge when it comes to ores, so I don't mind him helping you if needed.'' Raelin looked at them from the side. With her silver eye, she looked at the duo and motioned them to the boss of Jade Mystery.

''Welcome to the Jade Mystery, my good friends!'' The boss greeted. ''Ah, Lady Raelin. It's a pleasure to see you too. Are you here for business?''

''Hello, Shitou, it's nice to see you too.'' she greeted. ''We can talk about my business later. I am currently showing my friends the ropes about trading and negotiation in Liyue.''

''I see. Would you like to try your luck betting on jade? This could be your lucky day. It's cheap and it's fun, and who knows, you might just strike it rich!''

''Betting? No, no, we're here for... um, what was it again?'' Paimon tried to remember.

''Noctilucous Jade.'' Aether answered.
