Now back at the mansion, Riley and Jennie took the food they bought and got inside. As they walked into the lounge, Riley's phone rang. She fished it out of her pocket to see that Layla was the one calling her.
"I have to take this call, I'll be back in a while," Riley said as she put the bag of food on the coffee table. Jennie nodded before getting started with setting up.
Riley walked to her study and closed the door behind her, leaning herself on her desk. She called Layla since the call had gone unanswered.
"Riley," the other woman said, picking up the call after two rings.
"Hey Layla, sorry for missing your call. What's up?
"Are you busy?"
"Kinda, yeah. Why?"
"I wanna see you,"
"Now?"
"Yeah, if possible,"
"I can't, not now atleast,"
"Later? Say, around 8,"
"Ayt, I'll be there. Is everything okay though?"
"Yeah yeah, everything's fine,"
"Are you sure?"
"Very sure,"
"Ayt then, later."
"Later."
The call ended. Riley let out a breath before walking out of the office. She walked back to the lounge to find Jennie flicking through different channels on the big screen. Everything was already set up on the table.
"Looks like we're ready to get this day started huh," Riley said. Both girls laughed as Riley sat down next to Jennie, the younger girl looking at her in amusement.
"So, what are we watching?" Riley asked as she picked up a slice of pizza and started eating.
"Let's see, so many choices to choose from but I don't know which one to choose," Jennie whined, pouting as she looked at the screen. Riley chuckled.
"Nini, I know you want to choose romcom, I really don't mind," she said, which made Jennie laugh. Jennie chose a movie before putting down the remote and picking up a slice of pizza.
The two enjoyed both the food and the movie, laughing and joking like two love-struck teenagers. When one movie ended, they put in another.
"Wait wait, this tastes really weird," Riley said, referring to her ice cream. Jennie giggled.
"Here, try this one," Jennie said as she picked up a spoonful of her ice cream and fed it to Riley. The older woman closed her eyes in enjoyment. Jennie retrieved the hand and the spoon, watching the older woman with a wide smile.
"How is it?" She asked.
"I want yours," Riley pouted, which made Jennie giggle at her cuteness.
"Another one?" Jennie asked, her eyes glowing with goofiness.
Riley nodded aggressively as she opened her mouth like an obedient child does when being fed. Jennie fed her more ice cream, giggling through it all.
"O-oh, brain freeze," Riley responded as she fell back on the couch, her hand on her head as she pretended to freeze. Jennie laughed then.
"Don't be a baby you big tiger," Jennie responded, lightly pushing the older woman on her shoulder. Riley chuckled.
"Nini, don't be insensitive," she said folding her arms as she pouted, which made Jennie laugh the more.
