"Rich businessman, Joshua Paul Smith, loses all his money and assets after being duped by his business partner, Miles Johnson. Mr. Smith has refused to give a statement on this while Mr. Johnson is no where to be found."
This story was on the front page of every newspaper in town. Joshua was at the verge of losing his mind. He had bills to pay, a lifestyle to maintain and a wife to please. He feared that his marriage would soon end if he didn't do anything about it.
He lost not only his riches, but also the business he had built with his childhood friend, Miles Johnson, who had just taken everything he had worked so hard for from him, just because he had refused to take on a certain client accused of being involved in fraudulent activities.
He wasn't quite sure how it all happened. All he remembered was getting drunk with Miles one evening and before he knew it, he had his signature on forms as proof that he had signed everything he had, excluding his house and cars, to his "friend".
It was hard for him to accept this. He had tried to hide the mistake from his family, but the journalists soon caught the news and were quick to publish it.
Besides his expensive and demanding wife, Joshua had three kids that he had to take care of, hence he was so close to losing his mind.
That was, until he ran into an old college friend of his, Peterson Brown, who offered to help him at a "small" price, or so he told Joshua.
Peterson Brown was a big shot businessman in the nearing town. He had a child that people rarely ever saw. They didn't even know if the said child was male or female. Those who knew were never eager to reveal it to anyone else. The man was dangerous, hence no one ever messed with him or his family.
After a few hangouts, a few shots and a few beers, Joshua finds himself signing yet another contract. Although he finds himself getting a new company built for him with atleast 6 clients for a startup, the price he has to pay to Peterson for all this is way too hard for him to handle. But as Joshua Paul Smith soon learns, a contract, is a contract.
