I looked surprised and amazed. I couldn't believe I was seeing a real reindeer.

Lexi: Oh my gosh!!!!! Is that a real reindeer??!!

Jackson: I don't know. Is it?!

I laughed.

Lexi: What a precious reindeer!! He reminds me of something that happened years ago.

Jackson: You can tell me.

Lexi: You probably wouldn't believe me.

Jackson: I'll believe you. No matter what you tell me.

Lexi: Well, when I was six or seven, I had the stomach flu around Christmas. I felt like I ruined my parent's Christmas because of my illness. I was resting in my bedroom until I heard like bells ringing. So, I got up looked at my window and front of my eyes was a reindeer in my back yard. I didn't believe my eyes for one second. Before he dashed off. He winked at me. I thought I was imagining it but I'm pretty sure what I saw was real. And now seeing a reindeer again feels joyful and bringing back Christmas memories.

Jackson: Maybe the reindeer was your magic spirit to get through your rough Christmas.

Lexi: Yeah maybe.

Jackson: You want to pet him?

Lexi: No that's okay. I don't want to scare him.

Jackson: I think he's more afraid of you forgetting Christmas.

When he said that I regretted for avoiding Christmas. I mean Mom and I had a rough Christmas from last year. We just didn't want to feel the same pain. We thought it be easy and best for not to celebrate Christmas cause of Dad's death. I missed the Christmas traditions and I blame myself for pushing Christmas away. But after seeing the reindeer my love for Christmas is back in my life!
