We both jumped and laughed.

Jackson: Well, I should get in the shower.

Lexi: Okay.

I was about to go upstairs.

Jackson: Would it be okay you meet me in the living room? I want to show you something. Well after I showered.

I laughed.

Lexi: Sure! I have nothing going on.

Jackson: Great! You will love it trust me.

Then both of us went upstairs. Meanwhile Nicholas and Mom were still working on dinner. He was working on the turkey. While she was slicing and cutting the vegetables.

Nicholas: You are very natural in the kitchen.

Lexi's Mom: Well thanks! It's been too long since I done this.

Nicholas: Cutting and slicing vegetables??

She laughed.

Lexi's Mom: No! Cooking and prepping for Holiday dinner. When my husband was alive, I begged him to stay out of the kitchen.

Nicholas: Let me guess he wasn't the type of man to be handy in the kitchen.

Lexi's Mom: He's more of handy in baking instead of cooking.

Nicholas: Well, I'm glad you're not kicking me out in my kitchen!!

Lexi's Mom: Well, its kind a hard to do that when you're a pro in the kitchen!

He laughed and looked at her. She looks back at him as well. They almost kissed until a timer went off the oven. Mom wasn't surprised or scared when they almost kissed. Which was strange for her. This was the first-time Mom almost had a romantic moment since Dad died. Maybe her heart has healed up and ready for new love.
