Mom was about to say something until Nicholas came in the living room.

Nicholas: Hey! Were done cleaning up. You girls ready for the sleigh ride?

Lexi And Lexi's Mom: Yes!

Nicholas: Good! Why don't you get your coats. We have to get a couple things for the ride.

Lexi And Lexi's Mom: Okay.

We got our coats and waited for Nicholas and Jackson. They came out with blankets and a carry out tray of hot chocolate. When we got outside, we saw two horse sleigh rides.

Nicholas: We'll take the sleigh in the front.

Lexi's Mom: Okay.

They went to the sleigh.

Jackson: So, you ready to join me another holiday fun activity?!

I smiled at him.

Lexi: Only if its Christmas magical!

He laughed and we went to the sleigh in the back. All four of us went riding for few blocks now. The snow was falling magically like when you shake a snow globe.

Nicholas: You enjoying the ride?

Lexi's Mom: Oh yes! Very beautiful!!

Nicholas: Good!! How come your nervous?

Lexi's Mom: Am I?

Nicholas: Yeah, you looked nervous and unexcited.

Lexi's Mom: Oh, I'm fine!! It's just every time I go on sleigh rides. It's always with my husband and now it's a little different without him. But I do miss it! It feels great to bring my Christmas memories back!!

He smiled at Mom.

Nicholas: I'm glad you feel that way! What was your favorite Christmas present that mean everything to you?

Lexi's Mom: Well, there's a couple. So, it's hard just one. When I was six or seven, my parents and I went to Florida to spend Christmas with my grandparents. I didn't want to go there for Christmas cause it's kind of hard to be in Christmas mood with no snow. My grandparents knew that I love snow around Christmas. So, on that Christmas morning my present from them was a snow globe. Inside the snow globe was two elder people standing with a little girl. I assumed that's me and my grandparents in the snow globe. My grandfather told me he hand made that and it made my Christmas alive and special.

Nicholas: I bet you still have that snow globe!

Lexi's Mom: Its safe in a special place!!

Nicholas: So, what was the other best gift?

Lexi's Mom: This one was the best cause it made me emotional on that Christmas. It was the first year after being married with my husband. We had our biggest fight because I want to have a baby right away, but he didn't want to rush things. So, we didn't speak to each other that night. That Christmas morning when I woke up, I heard whining then I quickly went to see why I heard that noise. When I saw the Christmas tree, I saw a beagle puppy with a red bow on it. I walked over by the puppy petting it and feeling mushed of course. I saw a note attached to it. I read it and said Merry Christmas beautiful. I'm sorry if I hurt you, I want you to feel love and not lonely. You told me last Christmas you wanted a beagle puppy but couldn't afford it. Well now you do have a cute puppy you always wanted. Someday we will have a baby, please forgive me. Let's have a great Christmas we deserve. I cried very emotionally and that was the best Christmas gift that I will always remember!

Nicholas smiled at her.

Nicholas: Puppies are wonderful surprises for Christmas!

Lexi's Mom: Yes, they are!!
