I am so not talking to these doofuses.
They keep teasing me and saying what not. I can't believe he said my pants look too trashy for me. I felt insulted and thus why I walk and half run waaay ahead of everyone.

"Slow down Amie" Derrick shouts. I can clearly hear the laughter in his voice

"You know you're not supposed to be running, you'll fall sick." His dumb friend shouts. Though I know they're right I increase my pace anyway.
It turns out the event is gonna happen. I also found out that it is like a welcome ceremony to kind of like...crown the freshmen as official students. It's all students have talked about recently.
It was announced after we had collected our gowns for the event that our presence is needed in the permanent sit to discuss things I do not wish to pay attention to since they sound boring.

Me, Derrick,Brandon, Miranda and few other of our friends have been on our way to the permanent site . The meeting is supposed to hold there. We've been walking together and as it turns out, the boys seem to be in a mood to make fun of me. Meanies.

I walk too fast and I can easily feel the weirdness in my chest. I open my mouth the inhale better increasing my pace so I can disappear in the crowd and make sure none of them find me.
Yes I made it and I'm still alive.

Though I have asthma, that a doctor never really diagnosed me with, i hardly have attacks. I could count the number of times i have had an attack in my whole life in two hands.

I walk into the crowded area careful not to mingle within them.

Oh.. no..they're already starting.

I panic searching for Miranda. They're calling  us to make queues according to our courses.I'm in the same course as Miranda. She should be here. I turn around and stare at the entrance and wait for her to emerge.

There she is.

As i spot her i call out to her."Miranda" I shout.

"Wow carful there." The organizer standing a few feet away lightly scolds with a smile.

"Sorry" I respond. Miranda spots me and makes her way over to me. " Hurry up" I whisper shout.

She walks faster and manages to join the line just as we start moving.

"Everyone, walk straight into that building" the organizer dude announces pointing toward the building right in-front of us.

We walk silently into the building. As we approach the entrance, I start to smell trouble. This strong scent can only be one thing. Paint.

I try my very best to take my mind of it. They say if you forget trouble then it'll forget you too. I really hope so.

We step inside and stand where we are asked to. I look around inhaling as little air as possible. The place is a hall. Not very large but it accommodates us. I look ahead of me trying to focus on the person speaking to us. He's telling us that this building is where our matric will hold. Once I heard that, I didn't care to listen to the rest. I say a silent prayer wishing we'll leave here as soon as possible. The moment we're dismissed, I waste no time in leaving. As I walk outside, I feel very lightheaded. A strange yet familiar feeling in my chest. I wait outside hoping to see my friends pop out.

As they approach me, all I could hope for is for this feeling to stop. I open my mouth again trying to even my breathing. I spot one of Maya's friends. She is also kind of my friend which is why she didn't mind when I asked her to give me her bag to hold for her.

It seems heavy enough.

"Amie, are you sure thus isn't too heavy for you." She asks with worry in her eyes.

"Don't worry. I can carry it."
I put it in my front hoping to regain my balance. I hug the bag tight not feeling an ounce better. Before I realize what had happened, my whole body betrays me and I could no longer feel myself. Vibrations erupted in my face and the last thing I noticed was the feeling of the shocking not so painful impact between my head and the ground.

I manage to stay awake and here panicked voices and conversations but I could not seem to move.
