Instability

Lash's pov
I sit up, as the sun rises and i check my quills. Only tips of gold. I pull on the bracelets and i pull out the filled batteries from the previous day, putting the new ones in my pocket. I'll put them in once i get out to the others, that's when the most energy is shown. I head out after brushing my quills and checking my comm I spot a message from Erric.
"Hey you doing good, how's the spreading?"
"My flight activated yesterday when i smelled some amazing food. The kids are genius. Lemme send a photo of what they made." Taking a photo of the bracelet i send it.
"Weighted bracelets to keep me from flying if i don't want to, and they double as a mild siphon. They keep my excess energy down."
"Glad to hear it. But be careful. Don't want you killing yourself."
"I know, it's just to keep the excess down. Not turning on the siphon if i don't have excess."
I could feel the harshness of the "good" that was typed out. I know i was going to have to play it safe. This  worlds version of Chaos Energy was unstable. If i lost my hold in Super form, that could be it. I take a deep breath. Can't loose my cool now.

Little did i know, that might've stopped the whole issue.

I walk out to the others, and i spot that Iida's engines had regrown. Placing in the batteries, i feel the surge of power that had almost overwhelmed me calm to a subtle wave, it was still creeping, but nowhere near as fast as Kirishima and Bakugo come out with plates,
I go and grab some pancakes, enjoying the comforting flavor.

"Lash, may we talk?" Iida asks as I finish. I nod to him and i get up, heading outside.

"We're going to do a long run. Can you keep up?"
I smirk," is that questioning your Mentor huh?"
"No, no i am not" i lower myself into a sprinting position.
"Get yourself going, what are we going for, speed or endurance?"
"How long i can keep my special move, Recipro Burst going."
I nod,"Endurance it is. I'll still track your speed based on how fast i have to go to keep up."
Iida nods and i see him charge his engines up, before he's off in a burst of blue flame. I burst off in my familiar blue blur, catching up to Ingenium once i hit nearly 200 MPH.

Fast as a racecar now, i line up with him, a timer going on my comm wristband. The seconds were going so slow, just how much distance are we gonna travel before he runs out? Before even a few seconds of this would tire him out. His pose was too high. Time to correct him.

I zip ahead, showing the fact that i'm low to the ground, my arms close to my body, i look back and i see him lowering his pose and he speeds up due to the lack of resistance.

Nearly a minute of running later, i see him try to turn, but all he does is nearly fall over and have to get back before his course is changed.
I zip ahead as we dash into the city, and i show him how to lean into the turn and i see him copy my movements, turning with ease.
I smile, but i know trying to talk with him is useless until he fully adjusts.
I'm honestly just glad glass isn't breaking through the wind pressure we're putting out.

9 minutes of running later, i see Iida finally lose the blue glow in his legs.
I slow down to a stop and I grab his arm as he pants.
"How long?"
"10 minutes of 200 MPH speeds. Insanely quick, but much faster and windows would've been shattering."
He chuckles.
"I don't think i can run for a short bit."
I have him sit on a bench nearby, as we had stopped in a park of some kind, and i let my electricty leap around my glove and i touch where i remember feeling his cooling system and it charges up, and i repeat on the other leg.
"There, speed up your cooling time. Let's start walking back though."

I go to reclamp on the bracelets Yayarozu made, only to notice they overloaded and were broken when i pulled them out.
"Those are the weighted bracelets Yayarozu made right?"
I nod,"yeah, i should be fine without the siphons inside for now thanks to you being among the least chaotic in your class. But other people is a slight issue."
"Why are you so against transforming?" Iida asks, concern in his voice.
"My Superform is Limitless. I could destroy everything if i loose control."
"I doubt you'd loose control. Despite the nature of your powers being Chaos, you're the calmest person i've seen." Iida says with certainty in his tone.
"So what're you getting at Iida?"
"I'm saying it might not be a bad thing."
I sigh, my fear causing my quills to tense.
"Maybe you can work on controlling the powers? What are the extra abilities you get in Super Form?"
"Flight, there's a few fighting moves that i've mastered. But the main problem is I've never gone Super without the Emeralds before. What if i can't keep myself under control? What if i hurt someone cause i'm not used to how much physical strength and speed i'll have."
"We'll be there to help." Iida says calmly.
I sigh, my arms fur starting to turn gold.  I could feel electric sparking on my quills.
"What if the energy i'm taking in is unstable?"
"Do you always worry this much?"
He's right, i shake my head.
"I suppose i'm just scared. This whole thing is scary. At least i'm not a bad teacher."
"You teach by showing us the ropes, and letting us figure it out, a excellent showing of learning by experience."
I chuckle, and i feel my quills perk up. I'd definitatly be able to fly now.
"I guess let's try getting used to the powers, and see if i still have physical limits." I float up and i grab his arm, and i manage to lift off while holding onto him.
"Amazing, is it hard to hold onto me?"
"Nope, your super light to me for some reason, you'd think those engines would weigh you down."
"I'm glad to hear it, now what are we doing?" Iida asks as i feel him grip tighter as i rise higher, lining myself up with UA.
"I've never used this move without the Emeralds, but we're such a distance from UA that to fly there would probably hurt you since your not used to going beyond what your engines output now. This way, it'll be easier on your body, and safer." I focus the excess energy, focusing on the dorm area.
"Here we go, Chaos control!" Golden energy wraps around us both, and we land outside the dorm area and i realize that the chaos control hadn't affected the amount of excess energy i had.
I could barely bring myself to my feet, at least Iida looked fine.

"Lash? Are you ok?" I couldn't bring myself to speak, there was so much Chaos energy in the air. I felt Iida pick me up and bring me inside. The rush was too much, electricity sparked around my body. A ship with eggmans face, a robot lookalike of me. Metal mobians.

"She's coming around."
Bakugo.
I slowly open my eyes, i could feel the weighted bracelets on my wrists.
"Iida-"
"He's alright thanks to Recovery Girl."
"What happened?"
Deku pipes up.
"You went fully Super as soon as Iida brought you in. Next we knew, there was a massive explosion of electricity. Bakugo shot you out of the air and Mineta trapped you. Iida was still awake and told us that the bracelets had overloaded when you were helping him train. He noticed you struggling under your overload. Once Yayrozu got the bracelets on you, we got Mineta's quirk parts off of you." I nod,
"That explosion was a Chaos blast. I don't know what happened. I should've just turned Super..... I'm so sorry for hurting Iida."

"Oh give up the sob story Porqupine! Your a stronger hero then most of us, just glad my AP shot was enough to slow you down."
I smile and i look at my quills.
"It took you a few hours to wake up, the siphon took all of your excess."
I nod, every breath felt like i was breathing in knives, my whole chest was sore. Probably where he hit me.
I lay back, glad that it had happened, so i knew these kids would have my back.
