Eight hours of travel later we land on the airstrip of the American base, the lieutenant undoes her belt to get up from the seat in which she had spent the eight hours uncomfortably. The katana was strapped to her hip, something usual for her since she specialized in katana fighting in her second year at the Japanese base.
"Boys, behave yourselves," orders Captain Price to his men, they nod as they watch the hatch of the plane slowly lowering showing Lieutenant Morrigan standing in front of the hatch, once she has fully descended, the lieutenant steps out of the plane. "Welcome to the base Lieutenant, I'm Captain Price and this is the 141st Special Operations Group, welcome," they both shake hands under the watchful eyes of the other members of the group.
"I'm Soap, nice to meet you, I've heard of you," the Scottish accent reaches the ears of the lieutenant who shakes hands with the man with brown hair cut in Mohawk style and blue eyes which shrink slightly when he smiles at the lieutenant.
"A pleasure to meet you, Morrigan," she nods before turning to the next member, a man with hair as dark as coal like his eyes.
"Alejandro, nice to meet you," the Mexican accent seeps into his voice.
"Igualmente" (Likewise) Morrigan replies in Spanish, surprising the group and making the Mexican smile.
"No sabía que hablabas en español" (I didn't know you spoke Spanish) Alejandro's approving tone brings a small smile to the lieutenant's face.
"You're not up to something, are you?" Soap looks back and forth between them with narrowed eyes, making Alexander laugh and pat the Scottish man's shoulder.
"Gaz," another soldier introduces himself, both shake hands formally, without another word the lieutenant walks towards the two masked men.
"Ghost," one of the masked men, whose skull mask catches the lieutenant's attention, shakes her hand with determination even though his gaze is completely cold.
"König" finally the tallest of the group introduces himself, the lieutenant tilts her head back slightly so she can look into the eyes of the masked man, it was the only visible part of his face, the accent catches the lieutenant's attention although she can't be sure where it comes from.
"It is a pleasure to meet you," the lieutenant nods, keeping a firm posture.
"I'll show you around the base, some cadets will take care of your bags," the captain glances at Gaz who nods before walking off in the opposite direction Price is heading, followed by the lieutenant.
"She's beautiful," Soap murmurs, watching the lieutenant walk away.
"You're not the only one who sees it," Alejandro smiles sideways, watching as the soldiers stop their actions to follow with their gaze the lieutenant. -She's going to leave the base medio pendeja" (half-assed) he mutters in amusement before turning and heading back to his barrack. Both masked men watch the lieutenant walk away with the captain for several seconds before turning and heading to the training area without a word.
"Here is the dining room, Craig is the cook, you'll meet him at dinner, you'll like him," he says, giving a small smile to the lieutenant who nods. After showing her around the base, Price guides her to the gym where he opens the door for her to enter first. "This is where most of the weight machines are, although there is an outdoor training area next door" Morrigan observes the almost empty gym, there were only four soldiers, although only two of them had caught the attention of the lieutenant. Her two new companions were training, shirtless, although they still had their masks on. Ghost was doing biceps while König was doing bench press, Morrigan quickly looked away from both of them, she quickly looked around the rest of the room before turning to the captain who was watching her under his fisherman's hat. "Come, I'll show you to your quarters" yielding to the lieutenant, Price gives a short glance to his subordinates before following Morrigan out of the gymnasium. "I hope your transfer order wasn't too sudden," they both walk towards another building, crossing paths with several soldiers on the way, who salute formally, looking several seconds too long at the lieutenant, something that doesn't go unnoticed by the captain, who gives the soldiers dirty looks.
