"Wilson eliminated," announces Alejandro, Barnes quickly approaches the lieutenant to receive instructions."Okay, I'll take the flank, you're going to act as a distraction, make them come out of their hiding places, understood?" the cadet nods effusively, raising his rifle slightly, ready for action. The lieutenant turns when she sees movement in her peripheral zone and quickly crouches down trying to take the cadet with her, but a red paintball hits Barnes' leg, causing him to fall to the ground in pain due to the impact."Run Lieutenant!" Barnes shouts, crawling to lean against the trunk of a tree. "I'll cover," he assures, Morrigan nods before starting to run, trying not to get upright and slipping between different obstacles. Barnes starts shooting at the two hooded men trying to buy some time for the lieutenant until he runs out of paint bullets, König approaches and shoots him in the vest leaving him eliminated before starting to run with Ghost behind the lieutenant. The sound of footsteps and rustling branches alert the lieutenant who increases the speed under the attentive gaze of the captain and the rest of the soldiers."She has speed," Soap murmurs in amazement, unable to hold back, he directs his hand towards the katana leaning against the wall but Price slaps his hand, preventing the Scottish lieutenant from touching it."She carries the flag" whispers flood the small log cabin, bets and muttered opinions as gazes remain fixed on Morrigan and the two masked lieutenants. The longer legs of both lieutenants play to their advantage as they slowly close the distance to the lieutenant. Sliding down a small embankment, Morrigan hides behind the remains of what was once a hut, without even stopping to calm her breathing she places her rifle and aims at König who quickly dodges her shots, both hide and intercalate shots under the watchful eye of the soldiers. All three fire until they run out of paint.
"No ammunition," Ghost shouts loud enough for the lieutenant to hear.
"Neither do I," growls König in his thick German accent. "No ammunition," confesses Morrigan, taking the risk of leaning out a little to look for both lieutenants with her eyes. "Drop your weapons," suggests the lieutenant after dropping hers in the middle of the battlefield that had formed between the three lieutenants. "Gaz, snap out of it," Morrigan mutters into the radio before turning it off as she watches both lieutenants toss their rifles next to hers."I think we'll get to see the lieutenants in hand-to-hand combat," Price mutters, his full attention on the impending confrontation between the masked lieutenants and Lieutenant Morrigan as well as the rest of the soldiers."Twenty says Lieutenant Morrigan wins," one of the cadets bets enthusiastically, Price listens to the bets with an amused smile, even Soap ends up betting.
"We know you have the flag, good job on Gibson" compliments Ghost, with a sideways grin under his skull mask, he peeks out before coming completely out of hiding as does König, Morrigan peeks out slightly and seeing both lieutenants approaching in a predatory manner starts running in the opposite direction. Both masked men start running after her immediately, Morrigan dodges the obstacles nimbly, looking back every two steps noticing both of them getting closer and closer.
Morrigan suddenly stops and taking advantage of the surprise attacks König and manages to knock down the Austrian thanks to the speed at which he was going causing the euphoria of the public even though the latter could not hear him. Quickly getting up he moves away to dodge Ghost's attack managing to dodge it by several centimeters, he does not stop and follows the lieutenant receiving a blow of this one in the stomach managing to move him away when König launches himself to the attack managing to knock her down. Morrigan keeps her back on the ground when the Austrian tries to snatch the flag, without succeeding he ends up grabbing the lieutenant lifting her off the ground easily surprising her who after being stunned for several seconds takes action by fitting a kick in one of König's legs destabilizing him and making him release his grip. A grimace furrows Morrigan's face as she falls to the ground but her attention is quickly diverted to the skull masked man who quickly approaches to attack taking advantage of her apparent disadvantageous situation. Morrigan rolls on the ground dodging the blows thrown by the British lieutenant managing to separate enough to jump up to observe with accelerated breathing both lieutenants who had recovered and were ready to attack again.
"Come on guys, I don't have all day," smiled Morrigan, putting her hands behind her back.
"Careful what you say schatz," mutters the Austrian leaning his head slightly forward observing the lieutenant with his penetrating gaze.
Ghost is the first to attack followed by König silently deciding to attack from both flanks at the same time, Morrigan would not have any chance to win that fight, not when both were the lieutenants with more won fights of the entire base. Ghost managed to catch the lieutenant's vest bringing her closer to him so that his partner could take the flag attached to his back but Morrigan entered something under the vest of the British masked man before pushing himself with both legs crashing against König falling both to the ground several meters away from Ghost who was trying to look at what she had put in his vest causing the explosion of the paint grenade that the lieutenant had managed to keep hidden and enter the vest of the masked man staining his skull with blue paint. The cabin where the captain was with the soldiers burst into applause and laughter at the sight of the skull full of paint. Ghost looks in surprise at the lieutenant who was lying on top of König before reacting and quickly moving away from the Austrian with slightly red cheeks.
"K boom," smiles the lieutenant observing her work of art. König sits up watching his teammate before turning his attention to Morrigan, he had to get that flag. "You want the flag? Come and get it" Morrigan smiles sideways watching her opponent who stands up stretching his neck making it crunch ready for the attack."I have the flag, I repeat, I have the flag," Morrigan's radio interrupts the Austrian's attack who stops dead in his tracks with his gaze on the lieutenant's radio. Morrigan smiles at the sound of Gaz's voice, he stands on the wreckage of a car waving the red flag proudly. "Good fight gentlemen, another time," smiles Morrigan as she waves the blue flag to the two masked men, heading for the hut where some cheering soldiers and a smiling Captain are waiting for them.
"Good fight," mutters Ghost with a small smile under his blue mask before getting dangerously close to the lieutenant. "I hope the paint comes off or else you'll be in trouble," he mutters, Morrigan bites her lower lip trying to suppress the laughter that shines in her eyes.
