Bianca's POV
The drive to Princess's mother's estate was a lengthy one, to say the least. It took us a considerable amount of time to finally arrive, and when we did, Princess had already parked her Jeep, and we made our way to the grand entrance of their opulent mansion.
As we entered, I was greeted by an entourage of maids, butlers, and cooks awaiting our arrival at the entrance hall. I couldn't help but wonder if Princess was royalty or an heiress to a wealthy family, given the lavish welcome she received.
I accompanied her as she strolled through the house, her confident stride indicating she was familiar with the surroundings. Her parents, who owned the estate, were waiting for us in the foyer. As we approached, I introduced myself, and her mother warmly welcomed me, inquiring about my role in saving Princess's life. I humbly confirmed, and she expressed her gratitude.
We proceeded to the dining room, where Princess took her seat beside me. Just as I was about to savor my meal, she unexpectedly swapped our plates. When I inquired about the sudden switch, she apologized and promised to treat me to any restaurant of my choice on our next outing.
I accepted, and we continued eating. The cuisine was exquisite, and I complimented the chef. Princess whispered that their cook had prepared the delectable dinner. As we finished our meal, her mother asked if I desired more, but Princess swiftly intervened, responding with a firm "no" on my behalf. The room fell silent, and we concluded our meal in an uncomfortable atmosphere.
After dinner, we retired to the living room, where we engaged in conversation and watched television together. Later, Princess and her mother excused themselves for a private discussion. I remained in the living room, engrossed in the TV series "Riona," for about two hours.
When Princess returned with her mother, she inquired if I was ready to depart. I agreed, and we bid our farewells. During the drive, I asked Princess about her earlier behavior, and she explained that she and her mother had a strained relationship due to a past incident. She apologized for any perceived rudeness and promised to be more considerate in the future.
As we drove, she asked if I'd like her to play some music, and she agreed. We listened to the radio, and I even rapped along, much to her amusement. Before I knew it, we arrived at another house, which she revealed was hers.
"Why didn't you even bother to ask me?" I called out. "Why did you bring me here late at night? I began asking her, wanting to be sure I wasn't getting killed. You don't blame the little ole lady who was trying to protect herself from a girl; I just knew for two days. I started rambling about and asking her.
"Hey, do you really think that I wanted to poison you, or rather, kill you, when I would have done that without wasting any time, batting an eyelid, or battling an eyelid on killing you?" she asked.
"I brought you to come live with me as you would be starting your job as my PA tomorrow," she explained. "So, I thought and decided that rather than you spending money and coming back late after work at night, it isn't better than hearing an unwanted story about something that happened to you in the night when you know that you could've prevented it from happening."
Then she turned to where I sat and said, "Can we go now, or do you want to sit down here thinking about me killing you? And next time, never again say that I killed you when I did promise you that I would never hurt you. Don't ever make me go back on my own word, because if I do, I won't hesitate to turn a blind eye."
"I am sorry, Princess," I apologized. "I am really sorry for having such thoughts, and I promise never to doubt you when you did have a good heart to let me stay at your home when we just met for a short time."
"That's fine," Princess said. "Let's get in before the rain starts falling, as the weather has changed and it seems like it will start raining any time from now."
"Oh, okay, thank you," I said to her, thanking her for forgiving me for my nasty statements. As we exited the Jeep and headed into the mansion that looked far bigger and better than that of her parents, she said, "Welcome to my humble abode, and this is the home we will be staying at, and I hope that you will find it pleasant when living together."
"But if you said that I should stay with you, where are my things?" I asked her.
"Oh, that," Princess said. "Your things have been sorted out and arranged in your room, and I have added additional items to your closet. Like your working clothes, which I would want you to look like presently while you work side by side with me at the office, and more clothes for events, parties, etc.
You will find out when you finally get to the room and see for yourself. I hope that you will like the room that I have for you, and if you need anything, you can come to my room or the office downstairs after three doors to your left. If you're hungry for a snack, you can ask my assigned baker to fix you something that you may like."
She said she would be heading to bed now, and she walked upstairs with her things. Before she entered her room, she shouted good night for me to hear and closed the door after I said mine. I entered my room, closing and locking the doors. Before heading to the shower and after I was done, I changed into my new nightgown and lay down on the queen-size bed, and before I knew it, I fell into a deep slumber for tomorrow's work.
