Jax was awakened by Kellan after staying up late. He had spent some time sitting on the bench with Lilith and found the silence between them to be comforting. Just a few hours earlier, he had thought he hated her. However, after hearing what Stalh had told him on the phone and seeing her actions while on the run, Jax was now convinced that she could be trusted. Jax was surprised to realize that he had grown to like her now that the mistrust was gone. She was undeniably sexy, but what he admired most was the way she navigated her life. Like him, she didn't choose the hand she was dealt. When he got back to his room, he couldn't stop thinking about how his relationship with Tara would have been different if she could handle things like Lilith or if he had someone like the young Irish girl in his life. He imaged being with a strong old lady before falling asleep, but when he reached for the buckle of his belt, he pictured Lilith's red lips instead of Tara's face.

Jax startled awake at the sound of Kellan's voice above him.

"Good Morning," Kellan called. Jax looked up to see kellan and Lillith standing at the foot of his bed.

"What time is it." He asked as he rubbed a hand down his face.

"It's almost noon," Lilith replied a ghost of a smile on her lips. Jax knew his fingertips were still down his pants when they walked in, he reached for a packet of cigarettes and lit one to hide his embarrassment.

"Guess you heard," Jax asked. Any fun Lilith was having left her at that moment.

"Yes. I'm sorry about Patrick. He was a dear friend of Lilly's." Kellan said.

"Jimmy killed her friend, Micheal Casey, and five members of my club. That blast was meant for SAMCRO."

"His greed pushed him over the line. This betrayal means he's gone rogue."

"I need to know where to find Jimmy," Jax said. Kellan turned to Lilith, the priest nodded at the door in silence for her to leave the room. She glanced at Jax as she left and shut the door behind her. Kellan was shutting her out.

"We'll make sure that happens." Kellan continued. but first, we have to prove that Jimmy blew up that truck."

"Why?" Jax asked confused.

"Our conversation the other night. When I show the council proof that Jimmy sabotaged the shipment, and knowingly murdered two of our men, then that task I put on you is no longer covert. You do it with the full support of the Army."

"And what about my kid?"

"With Jimmy out the way, your son goes home to his loving family." Jax scoffed, he was sick of hearing the words from the men in front of him.

"Like I got a choice." Jax sighed.

"We need to find someone working with Jimmy the closer the better."

"Uh, I got a few Ideas," Jax said as he pulled on his cancer stick.

Kellan turned and opened the door, Lilith was standing outside like a military guard post. Kellan said her name and she stepped into the doorway, her eyes going straight to Jax.

"Once you find the right man, Give Lilly a ring. You'll find she's quite resourceful." Jax nodded as the two turned and left.

**************

Kellan had sent Lilith home after Jax's wake-up call, with strict instructions to wait for SAMCRO's call and deal with Jimmy's inside man. Lilith felt sick. She knew what was expected of her, She had even done it a number of times before being trained to be a heartless bitch since the age of ten, the task came easy for her, she just switched off. She learned early on that she was very good at turning her feelings off. And that was the problem. Since Abel was dropped at her door and she met his father, Jackson, just a few days earlier, Lilith was feeling things she had never felt before. She felt love and protection for the baby boy who had cuddled her and played with her hair as he slept. She wasn't sure what she was feeling for his father. All she knew was when she looked into his ocean eyes her heart sped up, when she heard the gravel of his voice warmth pooled in the pit of her belly, and when Jackson Teller came within a foot of her, her body buzzed with nerves. Her heart jumped when her phone buzzed in her pocket, she didn't want to do this, she didn't want Jackson to see the coldly calculated drone she had been brought up to be. What man would ever want a girl like that?
