... EARLIER ; The doorbell rung and the Hoshino siblings had taken a pause from what they were doing. Miyako wasn't home until hours later, meaning this was someone else.
Suddenly, Aqua had Ruby's phone in his hands which caught him off guard. She smiled, "I'll get it!"
"Wha- Ruby-!" Aqua called for his sister, confused by her actions and watched her run off to answer the door. He looked down at her phone, seeing that the call his sister was having with Kiyoshi was still ongoing.
"She sounded like she was in a rush. Did she order something?" Kiyoshi's voice can be heard asking, and he could imagine the girl giving him a head tilt.
"Probably. She didn't tell you anything?" The blond had ask in return after giving his opinion, relieved that the camera wasn't on.
"No, not that I recall" Kiyoshi answered truthfully, maybe shaking her head.
Aqua's eyes narrowed slightly, and he stood up from his seat. He walked until he reached the hall of the door, staying hidden. From his line of sight, Ruby's back was facing him but it seemed tense.
Like she was surprised by something.
'Who could be at the door?' He thought to himself.
His eyebrow raised in a questioning manner. He lowered the phone in his hand, moving to get a better look.
"Hello, Ruby Hoshino" A man's voice greeted with a feigned polite tone, bowing his head a little. Violet eyes met Ruby's wide pink ones and a woman stands beside him with her hands holding his arm.
Just by hearing their voices, Aqua had immediately knew who it was.
"Is your brother here?" Takehiro tilts his head curiously, looking inside the house behind Ruby's figure in search for the blond. "We'd like to talk"
... Talk?
"Mr. and Mrs. Fuji!" Ruby almost accidentally yell, covering her mouth instantly right after. This was the first time she had ever seen Kiyoshi's parents in person. It was a bit nerve-wracking.
Kazumi gave her a close eyed smile and a wave to acknowledge her, despite her mind only having one goal in that moment.
And the blond watching secretly can take a guess as to what it was. He wasn't living under a rock, after all.
Aqua silently returns to the living room, placing Ruby's phone aside. His thumb having let go of the volume button as he sits back down on his usual seat. The blond closed his eyes, letting it relax into his usual neutral expression.
The sounds of footsteps had began to fade in, Ruby's up beat voice passed through his ears while she seemed to be leading the couple into their living room.
Kazumi peeks, and her painted smile widens at the sight of Aqua. The two exchanged a silent glare the more they began to get close to the table.
"Thank you, Ruby.." Takehiro thanked politely before sitting beside his wife.
