Despite being assumed to be in her parent's agency... She won't mind trying it out, considering what I know so far. ❞

❝ .. And is pretty cute. ❞ - h. aqua ( end of chapter I ; first day, new faces )

---

Genuine and innocent...

Aqua stared silently at Ruby, only being able to think of one person who fits that description and it was definitely not Yuki Sumi. - chap.II ; declined but at least in love!

"When I thought of these two being together, I always knew I wanted them to have a normal sweet dynamic. Something that pretty much defies most of the relationships in the show/manga itself." - author

Origins ; Aqua is portrayed to be calculating, a bit cold and reserved- his goal always on his mind. However, Aqua is also still a teen ( whether he likes it or not ). The author wanted him to experience something that reminds him of that. Thus, Kiyoshi comes in.

Stated in the previous letter, Kiyoshi can not be connected to Ai in any way. Unlike Kana and Akane, who have their parallels. She's completely seperate from that.

The only thing that Aqua could say in relation to the two is that their different. To which, he finds himself being oddly drawn to.

The author wanted Aqua to be an actual individual, Kiyoshi was the key to that.

'Aquamarine', for Kiyoshi ;

Kiyoshi's thought on Aqua were left unheard of until Ruby had brought it up in the third season. That was intentional. The story being written from Kiyoshi's perspective, both her and the reader will realize at the exact same time that she's in love.

Since the beginning, Kiyoshi had assumed Aqua to be a good person. That assumption continued to be supported by how he treats her. And it was during Akane's reputation falling into shambles for her to realize that he could also be calculating. That he obviously has the capacity to be bad like most. Rather than being intimidated by the idea, she was actually intrigued.

The author wanted Aqua to be the person Kiyoshi who started off admiring to eventually becoming someone she wants to be with. The author wanted Aqua to be the one to pull Kiyoshi into the reality of the world, knowing there's beauty in it.
