...AFTER the second read-through with their main actress, the girls were instructed to head over to the dressing area. Costume fitting.
MEM-cho and Ruby had immediately jumped off their seats, racing to grab their assigned outfits from the table and trapped themselves behind the changing closets. Kana can be heard yelling at them, picking up the pace of her walk from the sight of the two running.
"WE'RE IN A PUBLIC AREA! BEHAVE YOURSELVES!"
Though, it was all light.
Akane smiles in amusement, grabbing her costume for the day's shooting. Her free hand reached out for the one that stood out the most from the batch, giving the fabric over to the dark haired girl chuckling softly behind her.
"Thank you"
Kiyoshi took hers from Akane's hand, careful to not wrinkle the outfit. The shades of pink and the cute accessories can't help but make her feel a little anxious for her turn.
The star actress of the two had immediately noticed.
With a blink, Akane pursued her question.
"What's wrong, Kiyoshi?"
Said girl tenses up for a mere moment.
Kiyoshi breathes out a sigh, lips curling awkwardly.
"It's just the thought of..." A bead of sweat forms beneath her eye, glancing away "Having to act as my boyfriend's mother feels a little..."
Weird.
Akane keeps her smile, slowly turning her head to the other side. She tries to hide the slight pang to her heart, unable to deny the feeling of being called out.
"Yeah, I can relate."
She immediately shook her head. This, however, was different from her case.
Facing Kiyoshi, Akane had sent her a reassuring look on her face- her voice soft and certain.
"But Aqua isn't stopping you, is he?"
The songwriter shook her head in response.
"No... He hasn't"
Kiyoshi took a breath, understanding what her friend was trying to get across. Her face softens into one of gratitude at the star actress.
"... The last thing I want to happen is to trigger anything bad for him..and Ruby"
Akane suddenly held her chest, another pang.
The girl beside her had flinched and immediately looked her way.
"Eh?! Akane! Are you okay?!"

Doors had opened, and the girls stepped out.
They had chatted amongst themselves, seeming to have gotten comfortable with their new clothing and hair styles. MEM-cho and Ruby specifically more excited than the other two.
Akane and Kana exchanged glances at their murmurs before shrugging.
Kana quipped in;
"Hm, the old B-Komachi..."
The velvet headed girl nods her head approvingly. B-Komachi's costumes back in the past had a similar theme compared to the different style the new generation has now.
It was quite nostalgic, despite not having once worn it until now.
"Yep yep!" MEM-cho chirped.
Ruby was being assisted by Akane, her hair being styled to match her role. She was just as pleased. If not, more.
"What mysterious animals, right~?" The streamer of the group hummed out. "The size seems to be perfect too!"
Adding the penguin clip to her hair, Ruby got up with a slight jump and a turn of her heel- checking herself out in the mirror.
"This is amazing! I can't believe there are more expensive stuff than this!"
Ruby grinned, giving a small twirl.
They were all ready and good to go.
Except for one.
"Kiyoshi sure is taking a while..." Akane pointed out, glancing at the changing closet's door with knitted brows.
"I wouldn't be surprised." Kana looked over her shoulder.
"Maybe she's struggling with the wig. That girl couldn't even fix her ribbon properly!"
Despite her tone, she had also looked intently at the door. If there was any trouble, they're immediately stepping in.
Ruby voluntarily walks up to the closet, knocking on the white surface.
"Big Sis Kiyoshi? You okayyy?"
She calls out.
And the door eventually, but slowly, opens.
The girl steps out, adjusting her gloves and touching the wig placed onto her head as if it were her natural hair.
She met their eyes, sending a sheepish look. Her hand was brought down.
"Sorry, I was being careful"

The question fell out of her lips as she tilted her head.
The girls went silent, frozen in place. All eyes were wide and mouths were open.
Their comments remained in their heads.
It varied.
MEM-cho found the sight endearing.
Ruby had to blink and walk around her, clearly in awe.
Kana had snapped out of it, brows knitting. Not out of malice, but in hidden agreement to the others thoughts.
Akane covered her mouth, eyes glimmering.
Despite every fabric, every strand of the wig, she was still Kiyoshi.
