Present day

A playful growl pulls Julia from her daydreams. She looks over and smiles at the wolf wagging his tail wanting to play.

"What is it, Lykos? Wanna play?" she tosses a ball for him to get

Lykos chases after the ball and brings it back to her tongue lolling. He sits at her feet somehow knowing it was almost time to leave work.

"You're a silly boy, aren't you?" she smiles and pets him rubbing under his collar

Lykos woofs softly and licks her hand. He runs and grabs his leash for her holding it up.

"I get it, I get it. It's time to go," Julia chuckles with a smile and attaches the leash to his collar.

Most of the time he walks free without the leash, but with this crowd it's better for him to be leashed. It wouldn't do for her to lose him. She smiled sadly as she remembered the time, she spent with whatever he was and wondered if he along with his brothers were alright.

"Come on big guy we got to get home. There's a big dance tonite and we can't miss it," Julia walks with Lykos out the door after signing out.

She lets out a laugh as Lykos pulls her past the shops and she says excuse me when she bumps into a stranger.

"It's quite al...right," the stranger replies and sniffs.

Welles takes off his sunglasses to get a better look, but she's disappeared into the crowd. He curses and returns to his brothers.

Later that evening Julia was sitting at a table in a corner of the room. Her feet tapped to the beat of the music as she watched all the couples dance. Absentmindedly she petted Lykos' head until he laid down by her feet. Julia looks down and smiles. She decides to stay for a bit longer.

As she sips on her drink, she hears all the young women tittering around her. Julia figures they're talking about the guys who are there to have fun before they ship out.

"I can't believe this Sgt., so cute, but he did the weirdest thing," a woman said.

"What did he do?" her friend asked

"He sniffed my neck."

"So, he probably just liked your perfume."

"Maybe. But he made a face then excused himself, like I smelled bad or something," the woman sighed.

"Well, here's the bright side, he's got three brothers to choose from..." the women's voices are lost in the crowd.

Julia finished her drink shortly after the women vanished into the crowd. She gazed out across the sea of people seeing most of the men in military dress uniform. Deep down she wished that those heroes she met briefly that night were somewhere in the crowd. She just hoped that they were all safe and not being tortured. Just as she stood up a hand gently placed itself on her shoulder.

"May I have this dance miss?" a smooth voice asked over her shoulder

The voice sounded familiar to Julia, but she couldn't place it. She takes the hand offered to her and lets him lead her out onto the dance floor. Instead of the jazzy fast tunes this time it was a slow song and the gentleman pulled her in close. All she sees in her vision is a green jacket with sgt insignia on it. Julia rests her head on his chest feeling comfortable with this stranger.

Nick wasn't sure if this was their mate or just another failure. So, he leaned his head in to take a sniff and when the smell of peppermint filled his nose he smiled. 'I found her' he says to his brothers.

Once he realized it was Julia, he gently placed a kiss on her neck pulling a shiver from her. The other women he danced with gave huffs of displeasure.

"What's so special about her?" the woman complained then just shook her head and the other women agree as they go off to look for other men to dance with

Nick wasn't about to let Julia go and pulled her closer. He continues to kiss her neck as she shivers more.

"Mmm you taste good my dear," Nick murmurs.

"N...n...nick?" Julia stammers lifting her head up to see his blue eyes

He smiles and winks "And I brought company as well Miss Ravenwood," he says as he looks past her to his brothers who are walking towards them.

"You did?" Julia asks looking confused

"Yes, I did," Nick replies and turns her to face the other three brothers.
