All four of the men drop to the ground grabbing their ears. Their eyes glow bright blue and all four have fangs protruding out of their open mouths.
"Oh my god, what are you?" Julia breathes and begins to back away from them now a bit scared
Beth puts the whistle away "Now will you behave?"
The men all nod with tears in their eyes and look over to see their mate with fear in her eyes. Lykos now distracted doesn't notice that his mistress is frightened.
"We won't hurt you my dear," Nick breathed calming down his fangs going back.
"That is a promise querida," Pedro agreed, "We'd rather die than hurt you."
Rose wraps an arm around Julia's shoulders comforting her "They're telling the truth sweetheart."
Julia, too scared to pull away lets her comfort her, "What are you?"
"Come on inside with us sweetheart and we'll do our best to explain. The boys will stay outside if that'll make you feel better," Rose said comfortingly.
Julia nods "Why do I smell sandalwood for some odd reason?"
This makes the guys perk up when they hear she can smell that scent. Hopefully this will be good news.
Rose chuckles and leads Julia inside with Nikki along with Beth following them inside. Once inside Rose gently puts Julia in a chair before heading to the stove to heat up water for tea. In a few minutes Rose sets a cup in front of Julia and sits down across from her.
"Ok sweetheart we need to tell you the truth and we promise if you want to leave you can," Rose says patting her hand.
Outside the guys take a deep breath to calm down. They all look at each other.
'I think we should tell her' they all thought at the same time.
They all nod in unison 'Let's hope she will stay'
In the kitchen...
"So, you guys are all supernatural beings?" Julia asks quietly
"Yes my dear we are, but we won't hurt you," Rose explains.
"So what are you exactly?"
"Well dear I'm a vampire and my mate or husband is a werewolf."
"And the..."
"I am a vampire," Nick chimes in as the guys walk in.
"As am I," Loki adds.
Julia gulps quietly "Well I guess that explains you trying to hypnotize me four years ago at my other job."
Nick nods "Yeah I was trying to get your help without getting you into trouble."
"So, if you two are vampires does that make your other brothers vampires as well?"
"Not exactly querida," Pedro says and with a groan he transforms into a wolf.
Julia lets out a shriek and almost jumps onto her chair. Pedro pads over to her and nuzzles her leg trying to comfort her. She calms and pets him gently. He pants and licks her hand.
"Eww Pedro that's gross we don't know where that tongue has been," Beth says with a chuckle.
"Stop showing off Pedro, that's not fair," Loki growls his eyes glowing.
Pedro changes back and keeps himself covered up "Umm Ma can I have a blanket?"
Julia chuckles when she sees how embarrassed he is "Now that I see two vampires and a werewolf is James a werewolf too?"
"Nope, with me you get the best of both worlds," Bucky walks in fully changed as he was the nights, she spent with him at the factory.
"That was you?" Julia asked
Bucky nods "Yes that was me. Thank you for treating me as a human being not a monster."
His brothers growl at him and before their mother can stop them, they start fighting in the kitchen. Rose puts up a barrier to keep Julia from getting hurt.
"Boys! BOYS! Stop it you're going to scare her!" Rose shouts
"Why is this going on? Why am I smelling sandalwood right now?" Julia asks
"Sweetheart you are their mate, their other half. You see we're a bit different with finding our true love. Once males and females reach a certain age, they release a pheromone that will only have a scent for their other half. If you can smell a scent around them that isn't cologne that is the pheromones the boys are releasing unconsciously. In return you must be releasing a scent as well. You are their true love and will one day have their children, that is if you want to be with them," Rose explains.
Julia sits down hard ignoring the fighting "Wow this is a lot to take in. Can I think about it?"
"Of course, dear. While you think each wants to court you hence the picnic I suggested by the fireplace," Rose says and rubs her temples in agitation.
Julia looks over at the fighting men "WILL YOU FOUR KNOCK IT OFF! YOU ARE ACTING LIKE LITTLE BOYS FIGHTING OVER A NEW TOY!"
The guys barely hear their mate and keep going.
"That's it you four are gonna get it!" Beth gets up and flashes her fangs before pulling the guys apart, "I'm done with you four acting like children!"
Julia blushes when she notices Pedro "Umm could someone..."
"Oh, dear yes," Rose motions and a blanket covers him up.
"Thank you Rose," Julia replies.
"Now will you four please calm down. Your mother has explained what the mate thing is, so what you can do is cool off and give your mate time to acclimate to this," Beth says letting them fall to the floor.
They all groan as they hit the floor.
"So, Beth what are you?" Julia asks
"I'm a vampire and I won't hurt you either. I'd like to be your friend if you want me to," Beth answers.
"Same here," Nikki chimes in, "I'm actually their cousin, sorry I didn't say anything earlier. And I'm a vampire as well, I'd also like to be your friend too. Trust me you'll need us to talk to when these guys get under your skin."
"I'd like that," Julia says gratefully with a smile.
