"I love you?!? Lottie, why?!" Lily ranted on to Charlotte.
"I was half asleep, alright?!"
"I thought you were going to tell him that you had a crush on him before this!"
"Lily, give her a break. It's her first love. It's not as easy because not everyone has a guy falling at their feet." Marlene had just walked into the room, collapsing down on Charlotte's bed and beginning to braid Lottie's hair.
"Marlene! James is not falling at my feet!" Lily blushed furiously.
"Anyway, we still have a big problem. Like hello? What are we going to do about this?"
"About me and Remus? Easy. I have to avoid him for the week."
"Charlotte!" Lily and Marlene said at the same time.
"What? It's going to be really awkward if he remembers."
"Whatever you do, don't ignore him."
"I'll try not to. And Marlene? Can you French plait my hair please?"
"Why? Trying to look good for Remus?" Marlene smirked.
"No!" Lottie blushed furiously.
"Whatever floats your boat."

Later that day, the marauders were all sat in the Common Room, minus Lottie. James sensed a little tension between Sirius and Remus so he tried to lighten the mood.
"Alright...Sirius. Any new prank ideas?"
"No." Sirius asked bluntly.
"Very helpful. Remus?"
"Don't care."
"Great."
Silence.
"Alright, you lot. I don't like this. I demand that you and Remus make up, Sirius!"
"Why should we? He's only mad because it's his sister-"
"Why did you even kiss her?!"
"It was spur of the moment, alright? It doesn't mean anything and it never will!"
"Good!"
"I'll see myself out then." Lottie had just walked in as Remus said that before turning on her heel and swiftly exiting the Gryffindor Common Room.
"Ah shit-"
"Look what you two did!" James exclaimed.
"Ya bloody idiots!" Peter added, whacking them both upside of their heads.
"Ow!" Both Remus and Sirius said.
"Good! Now, I think you both owe Charlotte an apology. Especially you Remus." Peter said, he was a little overprotective of Charlotte too.
"Let's go then brother."
"Right you are Sirius."
