Vee's pov

a couple months later:

I just got done packing up all my stuff into a truck and sent it to Maimi. Yesterday notti nana dd and ddot surprised me n eva  and told us that they are moving to Maimi too. They said since they are rappers they can make money anywhere. I was so happy that they are coming. Nana didn't really have a choice bc shes now 4 months pregnant with dd's baby.

"the truck just left with my stuff" I said walking into my now empty room where everyone was sitting on the floor. Everyone had a small bag that carried what they needed for the plane and we headed out.

I ran back inside to say goodbye to my aunt and he hugged and I promised to call everyday. On my way to the car I was stopped by my name being called "Ivoreee" someone slurred I turned around to see my mother "what do u want" I say looking at her. she looked worse than before. her clothes were hanging off of her and her hair was all over the place she was giving Falicia from Friday "I know it's been a while but honey I need some money" she said loudly "forrrr????" I asked bc she' s still my mother so if she needs help Im gonna want to help her "for ummm... for rehab yes! umm I'm going to rehab to get better but I can't affored it" she said stumbbling over her words. I nodded "how much" I said pulling out my wallet "uhh just 300" she said. I looked at her sideways "what rehab is that cheap?" I questioned starting to get suspicious "oh I have the rest of the money I just need the difference" she smiled holding out her hand. waiting for me to place the money in her hand I pulled out 500 dollars and she got excited. Just before I gave it to her her phone rang "hollon lemme take this rq" she said answering the phone. I guess she didn't know her phone was on speaker bc a loud male voice boomed through the phone saying "did u get the money from your stupid daughter yet were running out of drugs" I was in complete shock as my mother looked up at me she quickly took her phone off speaker and stepped away 

"vee vee we gotta go or we'll miss the flight" nana said sticking her head out the window "uhh hold on lemme handle sum rq" I said sadly my mother walked back over to me "okkk back to this how abt that 500" she said nodding at the money in my hand. I shook my head "u lied to me and not only that not once did u apologize for the shit u put me through and u didn't even show up to my fucking graduation" I yelled tears flowing down my face "I am your mother you don't get to talkto me that way now give me the fucking money" she said reaching for the bills. I quickly moved my hand and stuffed the money back in my wallet. I turned to walk away then stopped "ur not my mother... ur dead to me" and with that I hopped into the car and we drove away. I laid my had on the window thinking abt what just happened. I didn't realize I was crying till ddot taped my shoulder "you okay mami" he asked I just nodded my head and the rest of the car rid was silent.

TIME SKIP:

We made it to the airport and boarded the plane. I ofc sat by ddot but he slept most of the way. I watched a movie to pass the time and soon enough we were in Miami. "pa wake up were here" I said lightly tapping his shoulder he wakes up rubbing his eyes looking around. he finally stood up when he woke up fully and walked off the plane with me following.

We have a week before school officially starts for me and Eva so we were free to explore Miami but I had to get my stuff packed in my dorm. ddot insisted on getting us an apartment tg but I wanted the full college experience. Eva took notti up on his offer so we won't be roomies after all. we got an uber to the college and I got my dorm number and schedule and stuff from the front desk. Right now it's just me and ddot everybody else went to their new homes. I walk into my new dorm room and saw that my roommate was already unpacked. and my roommate was a boy. Just as I was about to walk into the empty room a shirtless dude popped out of the bathroom "yoo wassup... ohh damn u fineee im fs hittin dat" he said smirking at me looking me up and down I shifted uncomfortably towards ddot not saying anything. "yeah u not stayin in here comon" and with that he grabbed my hand and we left. I dropped off my dorm key and let them know I won't need a dorm anymore and we told the movers to drive to ddot's new apartment.

We made it to his apartment before the movers so he just gave me a tour. it was 3 bedrooms, and it was absolutely beautiful. I loved it "omg Darrian this is... wow im speechless" I gushed looking around "I got it designed to how I thought u would like it" he smiles hugging me. "thank you baby" I said kissing him "whatever makes u happy mama" he said back "soo since u wanna make me happy how abt u let me turn the 3rd bedroom into my youtube room" I say batting my eyelashes looking up at him. he laughes at me rolling his eyes "not a chanceee that's gonna be my gaming room" he says shaking his head. "fine the other room can be my youtube room" I shrugged "nope that is for our future baby" he cheezed hard "tuhh who said we was havin a baby" I scoffed "u did" he said side eying me "oop I lied" I said laughing. he rolled his eyes again an soon we heard a knock on the door it was the movers.
