back to vee's pov:

ddot woke me up frantically from my comfortable position on my couch saying something I couldn't make out. I rubbed my eyes and heard him say something about Nariah. "huh?" I mumbled still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "it's Nana... she... she's in the hospital dd js called we gotta go" he said putting his shoes on. hearing the words "Nana" and "hospital" made me jump off the couch and put my crocs on. I grabbed one of ddot's hoodies still not fully knowing what's going on. I was waiting on ddot to grab his keys. "cmon pa hurry up" I said bouncing my leg up and down. Finally he's ready to go and we rush out to the car. ddot checked dd's location and we headed to the hospital.

The second we pulled up to the hospital I hopped out the car before ddot could even turn the car off. I rushed into the hospital and right up to the front desk. "hi um i'm here for a Nariah Anderson"(ion remember her last name so shhh) the lady at the desk started typing "yes ma'am are you a family member of the patient " the lady asked "yep" I lied and she nodded her head "well she is in surgery right now so if you could please have a seat over in the waiting room please" she said as she pushed her glasses closer on her face. "could you tell me what happened" I said still not sure what happened. The lady looked at me and then back at her computer "It seems Ms. Anderson here had a miscarriage " my heart dropped to my ass at those words as everything around me got dizzy "oh.. thank you ma'am" I mumbled as I walked back into the waiting room where I finally noticed ddot and dd sitting as ddot comforted a crying dd.

I ran over to the boys and sat beside dd. "I heard the news i'm so sorry dd it's all going to be okay" I say as I rub his back. he js shook his head. "of all people why us?? why did this have to happen to us bro" he said into his hands. "ik david ik" was all I could say as I thought abt the baby Nana was so excited to bring into this world. I started to cry myself then I saw Kairi walk over with a bag of chips in his hand. "daddy why are you crying what's wrong" he said as he walked to his father putting his hand on top of dd's head. "nothing bud js allergies" he said putting on a brave face for his son. "hey Ivoree can you and ddot take Kai Kai for a while. ik this is going to be hard on Na and she's going to need to relax" he said as he wiped his face and stood up. "ofc yk I got you keep me updated on Nana. n know that i'm here for you guys" I say standing up as well and giving dd a big hug, then picking Kairi up "cmon bud looks like you're spending the night at tt vee's house how does that sound" I say smiling at the little boy as he js nods returning the smile.

ddot decided to stay with dd at the hospital, and even though I was worried abt Nariah I had to put a smile on my face so I wouldn't worry kai. I ended up putting him to bed since it was pretty late and I stayed up waiting for any word on Nariah. Around half an hour later I got a call from ddot. 

me: hey babe what's up how is Nana doing

d: she's fine physically but mentally she's all over the place

me: omg I should be there for her I shouldn't have left

d: no mami it's okay dd is taking care of her. they are going to keep her here for safety reasons and hopefully discharge her tmrw.

me: okay tell her to call me, and that I love her

d: okay, im finna go back in the room then ima head home

me: OK I love you pa be safe

d: I love you too ma safety 

and with that I hung up releasing a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

I walked into my room to see a sleeping Kairi and got in bed with him holding him tight, I gave him a kiss on the head and drifted off the sleep thinking abt how awful Nana must feel right now.
