Calem's POV:

Going into that day, I didn't expect Ash and Serena to be paired up by Mr. Grant. It's as if he knew this project would, somehow, make them recognize each other outside of school. They would finally get to know each other because of their partner-

House Project

Ash's POV:

JANUARY 31st, DUMILE HILLS. 5:00 P.M.

Damn. This is an absolute mess. I never expected to be partners with Ms. Silver Spoon. Even more so, I have to go to this bitch's crib now? That's crazy.

Mr. Grant did that shit on purpose, I know he did. He knew that me and Serena can't stand each other, and he still paired us up. Honestly, what was he thinking? Like bruh, now, I have to go to this girl's house.

I was walking home with the group for the 2nd time now. It was fun, just talking about stuff. Except Serena, she practically barely speaks. It's odd really. It's something I noticed since my first day. Serena only ever speaks when it's about school work. At least when I'm around.

"So do any of you guys have plans later?" Calem asked, glancing at all of us.

"I'm free tonight," Paul muttered calmly, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Same here." Misty added, putting her hands behind her head.

"Sorry, I have a date with Drew tonight." May giggled awkwardly, causing Dawn to react.

"Awh, they've already gone past their 3rd date. That's most for regular couples, huh?" She teased, tapping Gary's arm.

"Sheesh, yeah. Although, you guys are a little weird for going out on a Thursday." He added, commenting on the date.

"Yeah well, Drew's going with his dad tomorrow so-" May replied, stopping with a shrug.

"Anyways, Gary, you free tonight?" Calem questioned, raising his eyebrow.

"Uh, I have a project to do with Dawn." He said, pointing at Dawn.

"Oh, please! We can still hangout tonight. It's not like it's due next Monday. We have all week!" She added, hitting his arm.

"I guess so." Gary snickered, glancing at Calem. "Count both of us in!"

"Great, awesome!" Calem smirked, glancing towards me. "What about you, Ash?" He asked, tilting his head.

Serena stopped walking, waiting for my response. I shook my head quickly. "Nah, I got to help Ms. 'Damsel in Distress' over here with our project." I quipped, pointing at Serena. "Speaking of which, I need to go back home to change out of this outfit." I added, glancing at Serena.

"Do you want me to go?" She questioned, staring at me blankly.

"Yes, that's what I'm saying. You have to come with me." I clarified, tightening my backpack.

Serena rolled her eyes, walking next to him. "Why can't you just walk with me like that?" She asked, glaring at me.

"Damn, bitch you is asking too much damn questions." I commented, causing Gary and Misty to laugh. "Look, it's just better for me if you just come with me to my place. Besides, my mom would cook sum up for you." I explained, walking over to my street.
