Calem's POV:
I remember just being surprised, if not nervous. I was dancing with my crush at the time, and I had just gotten there. At that time, I didn't even know but I would soon know this event as-
The Valentine Dance
FEBRUARY 14th, XERNEAS MIDDLE SCHOOL, 7:35 P.M.
Calem's POV:
I shuttered once I heard the announcement for the dance. I had just got here, and the worst part, I didn't see Shauna here.
"U-Uh, it's starting already?" I stuttered out, feeling my body get chills.
"Well, duh! It's been 30 minutes! This is just the first dance of today!" Dawn stated, giving me a devilish grin.
"First dance?" Ash questioned, tilting his head.
"Well, we usually do 3 dances. One is an introduction dance, the second is a formal dance, and the third is the important one." Serena explained, glancing towards Ash. "The Valentine's Dance."
"Basically three dances that happen on one night. And the last one is to display romance. Such a lovely thing, isn't it?" Dawn commented, looking at the boys.
Ash gave a face. "Y'all are weird. Doing all this for Valentine's Day."
"This isn't weird! It's so lovely!" May commented, glancing at him.
"Three dances is crazy though, why can't it all just be one dance?" He questioned again, raising his eyebrow.
"Well-" Serena began explaining, before I got my shoulder tapped on.
I turned around, and saw her. Shauna. Immediately, I felt my cheeks begin to burn up. "S-Shauna!" I stuttered out, chuckling a bit.
"I knew it was you. You look so nice, Calem!" She complimented, tapping my shoulder playfully.
"O-Oh! Thank you!" I laughed out, scratching my head. She reached her hand out, smiling towards me. "Would you...like to dance with me?" She asked softly, her face flushing into a pink.
I grabbed her hand slowly, and gave a light smile towards her. I jerked my head behind me to see Trevor talk with Serena, and May talk with Drew.
"U-Uh, yeah. I-I would love to!" I smiled, feeling my face break into an awkward smile.
"Great!" She giggled, dragging me onto the middle of the court.
The lights began changing from blue to purple, setting the scene for this dance we were about to have together.
"I-I'm glad you asked me out for this dance!" I chuckled out, slowly putting my hands on her waist.
"O-Oh, it's w-whatever really!" She chirped out, flinching as I touched her. She wrapped her arms around my neck.
I felt my face burning up from how close we were to each other. We stayed silent as we just stared at each other until the music began playing.
That's when we started dancing in silence. There was this awkward, and warm aroma while we were dancing. I wanted to talk to her still, but all I could conjure up was a few chuckles.
