The summer finally came, which meant only one thing. Lexi was leaving for summer camp. She was excited. The blonde packed a bag and stepped in her moms car. "So, you packed everything?" Lexi nodded. "Yeah, I think so."

"Hey, you know how you were convincing me to live with your dad?" Lexi nodded. "Well, me and Bill decided, that maybe, just maybe we could let you stay there for a longer time than the summer break."

Lexi grinned. "But, it would probably be the summer before you start high school, so you won't change school for the last two years of middle school." Lexi nodded. "Thank you." She giggled.

This summer already started great. She found out, that she'll move to her dads permanently and she's also leaving for summer camp. Josh called her like a month ago and told her, that there's someone new from California.

She can't wait to meet them. Her mom started the car and Lexi placed her headphones on her head as 'Carry on Wayward son' by Kansas started playing.

Lexi's mom pulled up in front of the camp and Lexi's smile brightened as she took her headphones off. She picked up her bag and said goodbye to her mom as she exited the vehicle.

"Hey girl!" Stacy squeeled as she ran to hug the blonde. "Hi Stacy." The two girls pulled away. "Do you know when the new kid is coming?" Stacy shrugged. "No idea, but Josh told me, that they're from California."

"Yeah, I know." Lexi looked around and saw all the familiar faces. "Let's go to the cabin, we have to be in front of the cafeteria in an hour." Lexi nodded and followed her.

After they made it to the cabin, Stacy left and Lexi started unpacking. That went until the door opened, which caught her attention. "Oh, sorry." Said a redhead that walked in the cabin. Lexi guessed it was her new roommate.

"Hi." Lexi waved slightly and the redhead smiled. "Hi. Uhm, I'm Max. Well actually Maxine, but I hate that name, so just Max." Lexi chuckled. "I'm Lexi. Actually Alexandra, but I hate it too, so just Lexi."

Max chuckled as she started unpacking. "How long are you here for?" Max furrowed her brows. "What do you mean?" She asked. "Well, this camp is kinda special. You can stay here for one, two or three weeks, so how long are you here for?"

"Oh, yeah, I'm here fo

r one week." Lexi nodded. "I'm here for three. I love it here, I've been coming here since I was a child." Max nodded. "Well, I hope you'll like it here."

After the two girls unpacked, they listened to some instructions from the counsealors, that Lexi has heard like million times.

Lexi kept glancing over at Max, when she wasn't watching, obvious to the fact, that Max was doing the same.
