Why oh why yuh take up yuh self gone over Jaydon yard?.
Yuh never hear when Miss Gloria call me a seh him sick and need some cough medicine?.
Yeah, dat nuh mean yuh fi bring it go give him, make him cough out him tripe and drop dung.
Same thing English and Chey said.
So yeah, Jaydon mother called me saying he had flu and if I could bring him some medicine and something to eat. I almost told her to ask one his many flings but because she knows me as a respectful person I don't say anything, all I said was okay and that I'm not staying more than ten minutes.
That all too much.
I asked English to drop me off before he went to deal with his business, I can just call an Uber to pick me up when I'm ready.
When I get through the gate I see Jaydon's car parked facing out, means he hasn't been out. Whenever his car was facing out that meant he didn't go anywhere but once it's facing in he's been out and about.
I spent four years with him, I knew his routine more than anything else.
Unlocking the grill with the key inside the lock, I open it and walk in on the veranda. The door was open letting some breeze in, I hear Jaydon coughing from the living room and that alone made me smile in satisfaction.
As I walk by the mirror on the wall to the living room I look at my attire, a black bodycon dress and my favorite black Burberry slides, my mixed Indian hair was up in a messy hold, I couldn't bother to comb it today.
After yuh naah look nobody.
The chest area of the dress was cut low, if anybody did tell me a so me day wuda go me wuda dress in some sweatpants and a pullover, but the sun wuda pelt me skin unda dem.
I walk into the living room, seeing Jaydon on the couch watching his day show C.S.I Miami, him love anything with law and crime, he was a criminal law attorney, nuh expect him to like anything less.
"Morning", I greet placing the small white bag on the coffee table along with a box food and a Gatorade.
"Good morning, thanks" he answers.
I sit next to him on the couch, "yaah fi eat the food before yuh take the medicine and the pills" I instruct putting my mind to the T.V.
The living room was quite big, he lived in a cool one story house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and veranda, he had a nice backyard view too.
A few minutes go by with him eating, I get up to get him some water because the I knew he hadn't had any, when he's sick he rarely drinks water.
When I'm in the kitchen I spot a picture of us on the counter, it was our two year anniversary.
Rolling my eyes I turn the pipe off and move back to the living room to give him the water.
Mi just waah hurry up and come out, him seem fine so maybe me can just gwaan.
"You okay?" Jaydon asks me, "you look zoned out more than usual".
"I'm fine, just focus on feeling better"
Watcha, yuh figot seh him call yuh whore?.
No, but mi naah argue wid him bout nothing.
The less mi talk to him a the less him talk to me or show interest and that's all mi need right now, his lack of interest.
