Two months laterMarabelle Estate||Wednesday||7:50 A.M
D'Andre Cunningham
Trevino whole heartedly sat and listened to everything I had to say. I owed them an explanation as to why my brother was on the news and the media, I was grateful that they had been the ones to inform me before any else did.
I promised them an explanation, I could trust them with my loved story, they've been with me long enough to know.
It took two months for me to actually tell them everything that happened but I had to come up with the right timing, I stayed out of the public eye for these past two months.
I had to finish school online just to avoid the drama.
It was worth it, I got to spend time with my family on most days.
As I'm through talking, I watched both reactions from my friends.
Trevino sat with his chin in his palm and Matthew just sat there looking at me.
I couldn't tell what they're true reactions would be, they could choose not to be friends with me anymore or to keep our friendship going.
"So your father has been Ruel Cunningham, this entire time?" Matthew questions in disbelief, "we literally could have went missing if we did you wrong and yuh just laugh inna we face everyday?".
Trevino hums, "but him never know what could have happened if he was open about it".
Him always ago more rational than Matt, come like a him one have all a the brain cells.
Matt just dramatic, mi understand wah him a say but him naah fi be so dramatic about it.
"How you brother though, haven't heard anything about him since the funeral" Trevino states.
I frowned.
I shrug my shoulders, "he's not in the best state, mostly mentally".
English hasn't been himself since what happened, it's been two months entirely but to us it still feels like yesterday.
I live with him at the house as well as Chey, we try to take care of him as best as we can but if he wasn't nonchalant before, he's nonchalant now.
Our parents have tried to get him into therapy but he doesn't want to do it, we leave him alone to get himself together.
Nobody else took what happened to Tanoi as hard as he did, he's unresponsive on some days, other times we can hardly get him to eat.
He's lost a little weight but he claims he's fine.
Our parents can't stay at the house so they bought one close to us in the estate, they knew he wouldn't want them here while he was grieving.
He threatened them on multiple occasions, sometimes I think he's gone insane.
I would have gone insane too if I was in his position.
My friends tried their best to understand everything I was telling them, they've been with me through everything for years I don't want anyone else inside this circle.
They've proven themselves multiple times without me asking, take away all a the money and mi know dem ago still deh round.
"We got yuh back still" Matthew informs, "naah leff yuh foot".
"Cyaah leff unless a death take we" Trevino agrees.
Vinny came over to see how English was doing but he was unresponsive again, he occasionally nodded his head when Vinny asked him if he was alright and if he needed anything.
