LET IT GO- THE NEIGHBOURHOOD ((listen to this song while reading, I hope you get almost as addicted as I am. have fun with ur life after I ruin it.))
3rd person//////
Luke found Kaelin early this morning locked in his car out front of the apartment. he had tried calling her dozens of times, and she didn't look like she was breathing. But she had to be, she wouldn't do this to Luke. Would she?
she had music blaring in the car. it sounded to be on repeat, almost like her favourite song, but Luke could only hear bits and pieces as he pounded on the window with his fists.
there were tons of balled up kleenex on the floor of his car, and Kaelin's tube of mascara was in her hand.
That's when Luke noticed the crack on the window of the drivers side. Kaelin hit her head.
He ran over to the drivers side and noticed the pill bottle near the gas petal.
"KAELIN!" he pounded harder on the window, hearing his wrist crack, feeling the pain shoot up shortly after.
"KAE." he cried, as he broke the glass even more, "Kaelin don't do this." he pounded again.
"kae." he smashed his fist down on the glass, and shattered it.
Luke reached his hand through the the broken glass to find a note attached to the lock, he discarded the note to the back seat of his car and ripped the door open, still listening to the blaring music.
"remember what the people said,
remember what the people said,
when it's said and done,
let it go." it blared through the neighbourhood. ((see what I did there, cause it's by the neighbourhood. omf I think I'm funny.))Luke quickly grabbed Kaelin's phone and dialled 911, ((idk what the hell your emergency number is wherever you live so I'm sorry, this is ours.))
"911, what is your emergency?" the operator spoke loudly into the phone.
"my girlfriend," Luke wiped is eyes and checked Kaelin's heartbeat, "she's still breathing."
"sir, what happened?" the operator asked him.
"i think," Luke took a breath, "she tried to kill herself, there's a bottle, made for pills, I think, they aren't in there anymore."
"alright, just stay calm. what is your, name and address?" she asked loudly, drowning out the music.
"248 miller," Luke's heart skipped a beat, "and Luke."
"okay Luke, I'm sending an ambulance to your address, they should be there within five minutes." she spoke calmly.
"thank you." Luke froze as he watched Kaelin's eyes flutter, and he dropped the phone.
"kae?" he whispered, walking over to her, crouching down beside the car.
he placed his hand to her neck to feel her pulse. he knew it was slower than usual, and he knew he caused this.
he knew she had seen the purple mark on his neck, he just never said anything about Alyssa. He didn't think Kaelin would mind.
but he knew how Kaelin felt, he had seen the ways she looked at him, the ways she laughed whenever he was around, but Luke just couldn't help himself, he needed more than her.
More than a best friend.
