Jim was an ordinary teenager with a job, a car, a girlfriend, Maddie, and homework, but little did he know that his life and his girlfriend's were about to change forever. The school day was half over and the sun was shining, a perfect day, and Jim wanted to get out as fast as possible, when the announcements crackled alive and said there is a hostile intruder in the building please do not leave your rooms, we are officially on lockdown. Then the fire alarm blared and Jim knew it was a ploy to draw out students into the open for whatever the intruder had planned. Jim decided to give the intruder what they wanted to hopefully buy some time for the police to get there, and as he stepped into the empty hall he felt a powerful burning sensation in his chest. "Aha! My first victim to fall before my blade!" shouted the intruder as he raised his sword to strike Jim.
"Hopefully the last." Jim muttered to himself as he contemplated his options to live longer. The man charged and raised his blade for a fatal blow. Think of your arm covered in scales with talons in place of your finger nails. DON'T ARGUE! Just do it and draw him outside. Then let me take over. Jim decided that if he was probably going to die soon he might as well try, so he did as instructed and was surprised when his arms tingled and the skin had hardened into scales and his nails had morphed into talons. "Okay, a little weird but I'll roll with it." he said as he blocked the sword with his arms, sparks flying. Jim slashed at the man when he lifted the sword to attack again, and Jim made contact on the man's shoulder and he roared in anger. Jim turned and sprinted to the doors that lead to the open courtyard in the middle of the school. He was surprised to find that he was running faster than ever before and burst through the glass without injury, the intruder followed roaring his rage for the whole school to see. As soon as Jim was in the open the burning sensation returned and his arms returned to normal. Let me take over! I will explain everything later, just imagine a gate opening and a dragon bursting through. The mysterious voice advised. So Jim did and with a flash of light he felt his whole body tingle with a strong force as the scales and talons formed on his arms and legs ,and he felt wings folding out of his back with his teeth sharpening , as his whole body swelled in size. When the tingling faded Jim watched as a dragon slammed it's forefoot into the intruder, pinning him to the ground, his sword lost in the terror of the mythical lizard standing on him. Then Jim realized that he was the dragon. Whoa! What happened? This is so cool!
When the police showed up they almost attacked Jim, until a teacher spoke on his behalf. "If you will excuse me I have one explanation to give and will be taking my leave now." the dragon bellowed and ,with a flash, disappeared to leave Jim standing, confused, in the middle of the courtyard. "Can I go? I need to find out what just happened." Jim asked the principal, who let him go. Mainly from fear that saying no might bring the dragon back.
"What is going on?!" Jim shouted. You don't have to shout. I was going to explain it anyway. So save all questions 'till the end. Now you are a special breed of human known as Dragonkin. You the blood of a dragon in your veins. That is why I am here, I am Draco your dragon counter part. You have learned the basics of your powers but will need training. Remember how to summon me, it's called summoning, and the arm protection is called morphing. "Cool!" Jim said. And with that he set out to find a master, but decided to wait for school to end the next day.
