Jim and Maddie had to return to school the next day. As they walked in, they were bombarded with applause and congratulations. The staff had decided to hold an assembly that day for the school's heroes.
"Welcome back Jim and Maddie. It is our pleasure to hold an assembly on safety issues in our school, but first we will award you two for your achievements, Jim for stopping g the armed intruder. And Maddie for rescuing hostage students." The principal announced.
As the principal droned on about safety procedures and what to do if another intruder enters the school. Jim's friend whispered, "Hey dude, where did you go for a few days?"
"I can't tell you, but just know I can hold my own in a fight."
"Man, after what happened to that guy you took down I wouldn't want to mess with you. The dude was talking about a dragon standing on him but he would be dead or at least have broken something. Right dude?"
"Yeah, I guess I fought like a dragon huh?" He has no idea. Draco said.
The principal finally finished his speech and then introduced their special guest. "General Howard, here to talk to our heroes, Jim, Maddie, come on down." The couple forced a smile as they walked to the general and when they went to shake his hand Draco intervened, Don't shake his hand without protection! I sense a substance on his hand that will render us unconscious. Dracana has sensed this as well and has warned Maddie. "Should I give him a little surprise to warn him of trying to fool us?" Jim joked. He covered his hand in clear scales to protect himself.
"Your mine, I have you now." Howard snarled into both of their ears as he shook their hands. After that the assembly concluded and students got to go home early. Jim and Maddie were asked to stay back so they could answer some questions on what happened when they were awakened. When General Howard walked up to them when they were leaving he had a scowl on his face.
"How did you not faint yet the chemical on my hand should have had you!"
"Well, I see you haven't given up yet. But you forgot one thing we escaped once and we can always escape again." Jim assured. As he knocked a tranquilizer dart out of the air with his hand. "And we have newfound skills, Maddie!" He shouted and she quickly froze General Howard to the parking lot and then the couple drove off leaving The General stuck and very angry.
"All units move out and follow that car!" He shouted into his shoulder mic. Once a helicopter flew out over head, followed by a few discreet vans with special ops soldiers waiting to capture the teens. "They have no idea who they're dealing with." He muttered as he blew a jet of flame from his mouth and melted the ice. He ran behind the school, and morphed wings onto his body, through the special slots in his clothes, and flew up high looking for the car of his adversaries. "I must find those teens hopefully they won't find any of the prophetic stones that tells of them." He called upon his dragon and his battle axe appeared in a sheath across his back. Now they won't expect this battle.
Jim pulled up to the park and was unpleasantly surprised as he saw many soldiers surrounding his car and a helicopter hovering over the trees. "Surrender now or we will be forced to detain you." The soldiers said and then started closing in. "No!" Jim shouted as he pulled up the earth in front of the soldiers, flinging them back. He quickly activated his armor and drew his sword. How did he know we were gonna come here!? Draco roared, which came out of Jim's mouth. Three soldiers turned and hid at the horrifying noise. Maddie come and help me now soldiers are at the park! Jim called as he charged through three more soldiers knocking them across the park. His next victims were flash frozen in a bright light. "Just couldn't stay out of trouble for fight minutes Jim?"
"For the record this is not my fault." He responded as she dropped from the trees. With the couple reunited they fought in perfect sync. Jim slashing guns and bowling over their owners, and Maddie knocking them unconscious with her staff. Then a battlefield appeared and both turned to find an armored General Howard.
"Now I have to get serious. You will be defeated here!" He roared and summoned his dragon.
The couple quickly summoned their dragons and squared off with the elder dragon. He may be bigger but he will have to fight two dragons with powerful abilities. Dracana commented as General Howard charged. Jim reacted by pumping his wings and dove for his foe, crashing into the general as he tried to slow his reckless charge. Your out of practice general, but I am fresh out of training and have a few tricks up my sleeve. He said as he pulled up the ground under the general's feet. He tripped and then Maddie breathed ice onto him and froze him solid. We did it! Jim shouted. Then the ice started glowing and then exploded, knocking Jim and Maddie to the ground. Hah! It will take more than a little ice to stop me, my element is fire your feeble powers can't stop me! He roared. Then charged the disabled hatchlings. And when he slashed at them he struck the right spot and defeated Jim, and after a flash of light he lay sprawled on the ground unconscious. Jim! Maddie roared and unleashed a flurry of claw attacks that knocked over the general. He roared and set his whole body aflame and tackled Maddie and she flashed back to human form unconscious. I finally win now to make sure you don't escape again! The General roared as he seized them in his claws and flew to a rendezvous point where the only soldiers that knew his secret hid. Now take us to our special base.
