The next day, Jim woke up, got dressed, brushed his teeth and ate his breakfast. He then headed out to go to work with Maddie. They won their classes "cutest couple" award, mainly because they do almost everything together. About halfway through the work day, a man in a general's uniform walked in to the store. And asked to see Jim and Maddie. "I am General Howard. How would you two like to join the army and create a new kind of soldier?" He asked. "No." They replied in unison. "Are you sure?" Howard prodded. "Yeah we're sure." Jim answered cooly, his face expressionless. "Fine we asked nicely, but you refused." The General sighed as he got up and walked out. "Wait what do you me-!" Maddie was interrupted by a dart in her neck. She pulled it out, and as she got up and fainted. Jim whirled around and blasted fire at the shooter, who screamed in agony desperately trying to put it out, and was hit by a dart of his own, and fainted next to Maddie. The General returned and meticulously opened the teenagers eyelids and examined their now reptilian eyes. "Alright boys take 'em away! The poor lizards aren't so tough now 'eh." He barked. His men melting from the shadows and picked up the teenagers and jogged out. Earning only a few strange looks from passerby.
Jim woke up in an army armored van and was locked in chains he struggled but was to drowsy to call on Draco for the necessary strength. He then looked up and there was the General,"Hello Jim, I was wondering when the sedative would wear off. It was much earlier than it should have lasted." He crooned. "AHHH! Let us go! Or so help me I will roast you where you stand!" Maddie shouted from next to Jim. He has weakened us, we must morph our dragon metabolism in so your bodies will be protected from further use of the drug. Just let him sedate us again, and we will take care of things. Draco said. Maddie must have gotten the same message from Dracana. Because she let General Howard sedate her willingly. He then did the same to Jim and the world faded into nothing. Next time Jim awoke he was chained to the wall of a cell, but Draco was ready and told Jim about the security cameras, so Jim quickly burned through the connecting cables to shut down the cameras but not enough to alert anyone he was free. He also burned through one chain while morphing dragon scales onto his wrist as he burned through it. Once Jim was free of his chains he ripped open his cell's bars and slipped out. Maddie is surrounded by soldiers and appears to be ready to fight. Draco muttered. Jim stealthily moved to the roo where Maddie was and saw her surrounded by soldiers with dart guns trying to sedate her, but they didn't see the scales that had appeared on her skin, protecting her from the darts. "Maddie! Fire!" Jim roared as he barreled through any soldiers in his way. Jim made his way to Maddie and they stood back to back and circled slowly, watching the soldiers for any sudden moves. But they waited too long and the General walked in with reinforcements. "You can't win lizards! Men subdue them!" He barked and the sodiers closed in. Jim and Maddie opened their mouths and blew streams of fire at the charging soldiers, but there was too many and They were over whelmed. With both dragonkin under control the General walks over with the sedative. "Goodnight, lizard." He sneers as he puts the sedative under the scales and laughs. "You can't win!" He laughs and moves on to Maddie. "But we're dragons." She shouted. And then the problem of a master was solved. An Adult dragon crashed through the ceiling and surrounded the teens with dragonfire and roared, Fly! Fly! With me and I will teach you to master your new powers. Jim and Maddie both summoned their dragons and they took of, snuffing out the dragonfire with the force of their wings, leaving the government base with a rush. General Howard just looked into the sky and watched the mythical beasts fly away, and waited for the medics to come and help his troops with their injuries.
