Kalli's POV

I zipped over the ocean so fast I was splitting the waves apart. I roared with delight.

My name is Kalli Haddock. I'm sixteen years old and it's been a year since my parents turned me into one of them.

A hybrid.

I'm glad they made me who I am. Flying is amazing. Feeling the wind on my scaled and under my wings. It's just fantastic.

I looked to my left. My dad and my mom were flying on my left and Toothless and Moonwave were on my right. Together the five of us can be unstoppable.

After a long flight we landed on the shore of our island changing into our half fury forms.

Dad hugged me, "Not bad kid. You're getting just as fast as the rest of us."

"I do have your genes." I answered as we walked back to our tree house.

"Hey Avi we'll catch up I want to show her something." Dad called out to my mom who was already a few feet ahead.

Mom froze and turned her head slightly, "Do you think she's ready?"

Dad nodded, "I do."

"Make sure Toothless goes with you." She instructed and waved Toothless towards us.

"Where are we going?" I asked my dad as we walked back to the shore.

"Berk. Where I used to live." He replied. "It's time to show you who they are."

"How come I've never known about them?" I asked.

"It's a part of my past I try to forget." He murmured and we took off into the mid afternoon sky.

Later

We landed on the docks of Berk letting our wings draping behind us. A woman about Dad's age rushed from behind a rock as if in guard duty and came at us.

I spread my wings snarling at her and felt my fangs extend.

"Whoa whoa whoa. It's me Astrid. It's Hiccup." My dad said.

She ran forward to hug him but he stopped her by putting a hand out. I flapped my wings angrily.

"My daughter deserves to know about Berk and meet the people that USED to be my friends. Come on Kalli." He held out a hand for me.

I grabbed it folding my wings and walking up to the plaza.

"HICCUP?!" I heard a man's voice yell.

"Stoick!" My dad yelled.

"You're supposed to be banished!" He glared at my father.

"Wait you were banished? Why?!" I asked.

"I was protecting Toothless! He almost killed him." As if on cue Toothless growled at my grandfather.

"Is that Hiccup?" A woman asked.

Her gray hair was showing through her brown hair.

"Yes it is Valka." The chief answered.

"I don't understand. Who is that?" Hiccup wondered.

"Hiccup I am your mother." The woman said.

My wings flapped anxiously. My dad didn't move. He froze up: hands clenched, forehead beating with sweat, adrenaline pumping through his veins.
