Night Fury's Storm

Chapter 7

Aviana's POV

Jason came in a few minutes ago and told me what was going on. I paced back and forth for hours waiting for Hiccup or Kalli to return. The door slammed open and Hiccup came in carrying Kalli.

"What happened?!" I demanded clearing the table.

"I got whipped. No biggy. It healed. But Kalli. She took a beating for me. The eye. The calf. Probably other places." Hiccup explained.

"Get out. Gimme some room. I'll fix her." I kicked them out and turned to my daughter.

Hiccup's POV

"How come Kalli couldn't heal like you did?" Jason asked as we leaned over the railing of the balcony.

"When I was young Avi and I discovered we had healing powers. But we also discovered that they activated when we were twenty. Kalli is only sixteen so she's young and hasn't developed the healing capabilities." I explained.

"Will she be okay?" Jason asked.

"I don't know kid. I don't know. Our powers are unpredictable. Anything can happen." I shrugged.

Jason cracked his knuckles and began tapping his foot in anxiety.

"She cares about you." I said.

"She does?" He sounded surprised.

"That's how she shows it. I can tell. She snapped at you because she was stressed. Kalli hates Berk. She didn't even wanna go." I replied. "She cares but doesn't show it."

Jason nodded, "When we went out yesterday she was worried. Worried that I wouldn't like her for her."

"Some say we're monsters. Some villagers from Berk believe I'm a hero and that Stoick never should've banished me. She has met other guys but they never understand." I explained.

"I-"

Aviana burst through the door, "She's awake."

Kalli's POV

My father and Jason came through the door both hugging me.

"How are you feeling kiddo?" My dad asked.

"Better. I have to stay off my feet for a few days which is fine because I can just fly. My eye still hurts though." I replied.

Jason smiled and looked down at his feet.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

My mom handed me a mirror. My eye has three scars going diagnally across the middle one the longest. I still had sight in my left eye.

"Oh..." I murmured.

"That's a pretty sick scar." Jason said looking up.

"Dad what you did back there...that was awesome and scary...." I cheered.

"What'd you do?" My mother asked staring at Hiccup.

"I bared my fangs." Hiccup answered.

"Oh gods...Hiccup what is the matter with you?!" Aviana yelled punching him in the shoulder.

"I don't know! It just happened! He hurt Kalli so I threatened him!" Hiccup argued.

"It doesn't matter. I'm okay now!" I butted in.

Someone burst through the door, "Hiccup we have a problem!" Astrid said.
