Chapter 6

Kalli's POV

I whipped my head to see...my DAD?!?!

"What are you doing here?!" I asked.

"I figured this would happen so I came to make sure he didn't try anything." He called from the back of the crowd.

Hiccup pushed his way through the crowd using his wings and his fire sword.

"You have to let this go Stoick! This grudge isn't fair to anybody!" My father said.

"YOU ALMOST KILLED ME!" Stoick yelled.

"YOU ALMOST KILLED TOOTHLESS!" Hiccup argued. "There must be some way we can solve this..."

"50 across the back." The chief said.

"Dad no...you could die..." I whispered.

He shrunk his wings into his back, "If it's what I have to do." He turned to the chief. "Let's do it." He whistled. "Toothless come here."

Toothless bounded his way through the crowd.

"Take him and tell Avi to get the med kit ready." He instructed. "GO!"

I ran into the forest where Jason was.

"You heard what my dad said. Take Toothless and go back to the island. Alert my mother. If she's not on the island check Itchy Armpit or ask Toothless he'll know." I ordered.

"What are you going to do?" He asked me climbing on Toothless.

"Something stupid." I shrugged.

"You've already done that." He replied smirking.

"Then something crazy." I kissed him on the cheek and took off towards the cliff above the Academy.

I stood above the Academy and I looked down.

My dad was chained to two different posts with his shirt off. He was breathing heavy (Quick A/N: she can hear it because of her dragon capabilities. Just a reminder.) preparing for the worst. Hiccup was concentrating hard not to extend his wings from his back ready to defend himself. I clenched my fists watching the scene unfold.

CRACK!

CRACK!

CRACK!

My dad's screams of pain were the worst to hear. I kept count on the whippings. At fifty the chief kept going.

I snarled, "This is ridiculous!"

I jumped from the cliff diving for the arena so fast the wind whistled. I stuck out my hand and fired a plasma blast from the mark. I landed in front of my dad who was unconscious now with my fist on the ground (Iron Man style) cracking the stone. I stood up and glared at the chief as the smoke cleared.

"That was more than fifty!" I said calmly as I held my stare.

"He deserves it!" The chief argued.

The whip cracked down on my eye. I cried out in pain landing in front of my dad's face.

"Dad?" I croaked.

I felt his pulse.

None.

"No..." I whispered.

I charged at the chief flying in the air to get leverage. He snagged the whip around my leg and I crashed. He raised the whip again and it cut my calf open.

Then...something unbelievable happened.

Narration

Hiccup's eyes snapped open the silver raging. He broke the chains wings ripping from his back. He whipped around and snarled revealing his fangs. The crowd gasped backing away from the barrier.

"Don't you dare hurt my daughter!!!" Hiccup screamed.

Kalli backed away into the wall out of the way.

"I....I...." The chief was lost for words.

"If you ever hurt her again I will turn this place to ashes! You never cared about me! None of you! All you cared about was me saving you all those years ago!" He yelled.

Kalli looked up with her one good eye and noticed the wounds from the whip were gone and all that was left were soft pink scars.

Hiccup's POV

"Dad...." I heard Kalli whimper.

I turned to her and realized she was bleeding.

Bad.

I rushed over and knelt down.

"Are you alright?" I asked even though I knew the answer.

"It hurts...." She whimpered.

Astrid rushed through the gate, "Will she be okay?"

"I don't know. She's young. The healing powers haven't kicked in yet. Not till she's 20. I need to get her back to the house." I picked up my daughter bridal style and flapped my wings flying fast towards home.

"Hang in there...."
