Night Fury's Storm

Chapter 13

Kalli's POV

Kishan and I were walking around the lush green forest towards the rocky cliffs. That's usually where people tend to land on my island.

"I just have to grab a few things and we can go. Unless of course you want to stay the night. This island is beautiful..." I heard Jason say.

"Sounds lovely...will Bolt be okay?" I heard the girl ask him.

"He's a Skrill he'll be fine." Jason replied.

I hid in a tree next to Kishan and waited for Jason and the girl to walk by underneath us. Their voices got louder as they got closer and soon the couple got into my view. I jumped down, wings wide anger flaring.

"You care to explain yourself Jason?!" I demanded.

"You were killed! So I moved on! I had no idea you were coming back!" Jason yelled.

"You found someone normal?! Said she made you happy! What?! I wasn't enough?!" I argued gripping my bow tightly.

"I admit you're not normal. Once you died I realized maybe it's a sign that I was to love someone normal!" Jason exclaimed his face turning red.

"You're a monster...." My voice cracked.

"No. You're the monster." The girl murmured.

"And who might you be?!" I chuckled glaring at her.

"My name is Snow." The girl said strongly head held up high.

"Awe that's cute. Get off." I ordered.

Jason shook his head.

Kishan jumped down, eyes flaring, wings wide, "She said get off."

"Your father said I could stay the night!" Jason insisted.

"Don't bring my father into this! I said get off my island!" I roared.

"Let us stay! Please!" Snow begged clinging to Jason's arm. "We promise we won't hurt anybody!"

"Too late for that!" I shouted.

I shifted into my Night Fury form and grabbed the couple with my paws. Snow screamed, terrified I was going to eat her. I turned to see Kishan following me. I lowered down so their feet touched the ocean and dropped them, far away from the island. I changed into my half fury form and flew towards Kishan.

I collapsed in his arms and cried. My wings shrunk and Kishan carried me home. He placed me on my bed that i haven't been on in four years and went to leave.

"Wait." I whispered and scooted over. "Will you stay with me? Please..."

Kishan smiled and shrunk his wings climbing in next to me. He reached out and stroked my cheek wiping my tears away. We stared into each other's eyes mesmerized by his ember color. Then, the unthinkable happened.

Kishan leaned forward and kissed me, hard. I kissed him back. When we broke apart I was smiling. He wrapped his arm around me pulling me close to him and I closed my eyes falling asleep as I breathed in his pine scent.
